Send him to Toronto. DeRozan and Weems are doodoo. They need all the help they can get to beat the Knicks this season.

I know you're probably joking but I think this is a classy move by the Rockets. Instead of sending him back down to the Dleague they will be sending him to another team that will definitely give him a shot.

Actually, since he would have still counted against the 15 man squad, it's either trade him or release him.

Correct me if I am wrong, this is what I remember reading.

Hope he gets a good chance to start where ever he goes.

He'll come back to torch us one day, I can guarantee that.

at least he will have a shot where he gets traded. Hope he takes the best opportunity and just flat out kills.

this kid is special, i think we might regret trading him b/c he is still young and has a lot of potential.

we are in win now mode i understand and we need size. but why not play Hill?

Who is going to trade anything for him when he'll likely be released otherwise?

Anyhow, GL to Taylor wherever he ends up.

Yes, even releasing him is better than just holding onto him. I'm sure he'll find a spot on someone's team. Teams love to take a chance on players like him.

They paid $2.5M for his draft rights. I think if they had to release a player Smith would be gone before Taylor.

2011 2nd round pick should be adequate. the question is.... who would want him???... I think the Pacers could be interested and should have picks to spare. Maybe New Orleans??? I'll genuinly be happy if lands somewhere he can blossom. Good luck JT.

If the rockets waive him, any team that signs him needs to pay Taylor by themselves. If they acquire him by trade, the rockets could send cash with Taylor. They can use those money to pay Taylor.

The only way Toronto can acquire JT without trading back a player is to use a portion of that huge ($14.5) trade exception from the Bosh sign-and-trade to Miami.

I've heard that Toronto doesn't want to touch that exception until a major deal comes along.

I wonder if they'd be willing to slice a mere $781k off of it, though.

Works for me - if JT could handle the Point. JT has NBA talent; I wonder if he has NBA head?
