If he gets 2 outs in the inning, meaning that but for the error he would have been out of the inning, runs scored in the inning after that point are unearned. At least, that's my understanding of the rules.

 

and the Yanks get it right back in the bottom of the 2nd

 

yeah, looking at it on Gameday, that's apparently what happened. it just struck me as odd right off the bat when i read it in the first post.

 

I can't believe he is back pitching without the steroids now.
