What were your expectations exactly? Most people might have expected us to be 1-1 at this point. 0-2 isn't that much different.

A lot of people thought we'd be a top 4 team in the West. That's really unrealistic this season. I've predicted that we'll still miss the playoffs again this season. Best case is that we're a lower half playoff team.

Maybe you need to reevaluate your expectations.

No worries, we have Denver on Saturday.

Carmelo Anthony will drop 40 on Battier easily!

I think we have 21 or 22 back to backs (42 or 44 games). That would make Yao scheduled to play 60 or 61 games if he stays healthy.

We were below .500 in mid-December if I remember correctly that season too. Like 6-11 or something.

It's only the first 2 games, but tonight's game, horrible D and letting 6'2 guard go for 43 Pts got me wondering, are we gonna be better from last year.?

All this after two games in two nights that ended after 12 AM. Look on the bright side, scoring wise the Rockets would have beat any other NBA team tonight. ;)

You guys need to realize what our priorities are. The Rockets want to stay healthy. It doesn't matter how they make the playoffs as long as they do. HCA would be nice to have, but it's not what wins games. The Rockets will have to beat the best teams to win a championship.

In two days we played with best and possibly the worse team and ended up with same results, no D whatsoever .....

Why pay 5 mil for a backup center that plays only unmeaning 3 mere minutes?

I dont know if its just me but i have been watching the Rox of old and new for the past decades being lit up by nobodys like SBrown and Sblake and then Rodney Carney the ex Puppies and Dorrel wright the ex heat ....

Every game theres bound to be somebody unknown from the other team that lit us or even heck set career highs

If we cant beat the GSW how are we going to beat Carmelo Thuggets

This can go on and on ... and i hope it wont go on for another 80 game of untasteful unsightful bball.

Are you kidding me with this?

    1. The Warriors had their HOME OPENER. Emotions for them were at an absolute high.

    2. We are playing on a back-to-back. I know these are well conditioned athletes, but the second game on a b-2-b is super tiring.

LA, ORL, BOS have all lost to the GSW before. How have they won a championship / competed in the Finals before? It defies logic! /sarcasm.

We're 0-2, but we need to get over it. Nuggets are up next, focus on beating them.

i just find it hilarious that people can just decide to abandon all hope for their team (and in this case, end their lives as it appears) based on 2 losses at the very start of the season, with one of them being to the defending champs!
It really makes me wonder how some of you guys deal with more serious issues in the real world...

Good lord! You guys are noting more than stupid crybaby bastards who have knee-jerk reactions after a couple of losses! It'll be OK! Put down the aspirin and the weed and the whiskey and your tinfoil hats and stop b****ing about it.

    We'll be fine....

I don't understand why anyone is surprised by these first few games. The personnel changes and the way Adelman manages this team over the years has been to shift away from Defense.

You guys thought Ariza was bad on Defense....and we brought in Courtney Lee, Brad Miller, and Kevin Martin.

I am not sure you can turn this team into a defensive mind group...too many who aren't familiar with the concept...not without a defensive specialist to train them over the course of a season on how to play team defense.

That's why you might as well go for all offense and become the Phoenix Suns.

    Isn't that what everyone wanted?

It's 2 games out of 82, we opened with a back-to-back on the road and lost by close margins. Scola and Martin have looked amazing out of the gate and Lowry will help with the defensively challenged PG position.

Chuck Hayes with a 16-8-7 stat line?

Yao is closer to his old self than I anticipated.

    We'll be okay this year.

Dampier is slower than Brad Miller. Maybe Adelman should try using Hill and Miller in the line up together. We might just get more Rebounds

Ariza is still bad on defense, he gambles too much. Courtney is much better

I've noticed the correlation between Yao's return and a lot more overreaction threads

Last season was a bit better on the bbs because the Yao fanboys were not freaking out everytime we lost a game or two
