This. Definitely too much Glenfiddich for me tonight :( Or did you mean playing GS tomorrow? :)

I share your optimism tonite, Kobe was hurt but all things considered I felt that we showed what kind of team were going to be this year. Badass. My only complaint is that I felt that Adelman should play Hill, Jeffries, 2Pat and try to integrate them regardless of who we are playing. Give them experience. We are going to need them this year.

Same old NBA. Send Martin to the bench with 4 fouls in the 3rd because the Lakers are going to get beat if they dont.

Martin and Brooks are those players along with Scola (who just wasn't himself for most of the game) Brooks lost his speed for most of the 2nd half because Adelman doesn't trust Ish enough for major mins I suppose and really...the first hit to the domination was Martin fouling out early in the 3rd, he was really owning the Lakers and looked like the best SG on the floor up until that point.

We missed Lowry big time. No way those fools go off like that with him out there.

    We must rebound tomorrow night.

Has any one ever noticed that every time pau gasol drives to the hoop, after the shot he always yells like he has been shot, and flails his arms, this occured on just about every occasion and the refs fell for it. IT DISGUSTS ME

He did leave him open twice, but Lee was guarding him when he hit those 2 3s in the third quarter.

And AB had 9 assists and 2 turnovers for an excellent 4.5-1 assist to turnover ration

Agree on the refs....but Yao and Scola missing about 20 ....TWENTY...one foot shots had more to do with the loss than Brooks did, Brooks was pretty damned good.

Adelman should tell Kevin Martin that if he doesn't take at least 6 shots in the 4th, he's benched for the next game.

AB was exhausted, Yao fouled out, Scola couldn't buy a bucket (for the most part), and Battier was non-existent.... that left one person on the offensive end to try to take over, and Martin shot the ball 3 times.

And I know I'm beating a dead horse here, but seriously... somebody has to tell him something.

Brown burned Battier and Martin for a few threes.

Kobe lit up Battier which is acceptable, but Battier needs to foul him harder. The refs are going to call every touch foul on Kobe.

Blake was left open too much especially late in the game. Brooks needs to stay on him and realize he can't do anything but shoot threes.

I think the last one hurt the most.

Yes Battier was a bum. We lost. How more of his non existant play do we need as evidence? Losing is evidence. Now from preseason to the regular season. Play him early then find someone else late who can score... if we are having scoring problems. He sucks. Kobe went off on him at the exact time he needed to bring the Lakers back into it. Battier couldnt do anything. He couldnt score either during that time.

Having a hybrid 4 like Odom who can also play the 3 and center position must be some kind of luxury for the Lakers.

    He killed us tonight.

That is why I would like for us to acquire Anthony Randolph. Dude is similar to Odom by the tee and can be like our own version of Odom.

We need that Randolph-Odom type, sucks that Patterson can't come off the bench though because he would be perfect for that role.

There are some people that say that they weren´t expecting to beat LA today, THEN WHEN WILL YOU EXPECT TO WIN???

Kobe was limited, and no Bynum, plus all the ring ceremony, they could easily loose the game without destroying the party....

If there was a game against LA that I had more expectations was this one.....

I still don´t understand how Martin is not better used in the 4th quarter, dude played 29 mins scoring 26 points, that last play is easily a 3pt shot after ABs penetration, you had the perfect time to execute that, it is ether you loose or win, forget the OT...

I agree in these situations you should not rush a 1v1 3pt shot, but with Martins ability to play off ball, You have too use it in this last plays, just like you do with Ray Ray.
