My dog, me, a squirrel family in a tree, TKO. Squirrel is baffled as to why he remains safe in the tree when he could jump down 3 feet from my dog. He juked left and jumped into the side of the tool shed rendering his otherwise ordinary brain into a state of permanent comatose. He hit his head son! He's dead folks, we can shut it down now. :cool
At the house my g/f used to live in, the squirrels were rampant in the backyard and would taunt her dog (medium sized blue heeler/mutt). If you looked at her and said the word "squirrel" she would run to her doggy-door, slowly poke her head out and stare them down with intensity. She would literally crawl across the yard (imagine a person bear crawling, only a dog), and when the moment was right she would take off after one of them. Only she never caught one of them. Until... one day my g/f came home and the dog was more excited than usual. She kept running back and forth to the doggy door so as to say "come look outside". There was a dead squirrel a few feet from the deck. They moved a few months later, and while the squirrels are present at the new house, she doesn't show any aggressiveness toward them. I think she thinks she owns the squirrel species now. /coolstorybro
Fixed. cool story bro! Serious mode: Same situation bro, almost didn't count, until today duh duh duhhhhh
It happened son! 10 feet from me. At first I was like WTF??!!!!Then I was like what am I puffin on? We had been out there for 5 mintues, the squirrel goes Leroy Jenkins on them boys, knocks himself out
I really really thought this was going to be about Darth Vader... Good luck with the squirrel, sir. Fixed your smiley ERROR too, sir.
Vader's a chump. My parents got this golden retriever 2 years ago... So far she's killed 8 squirrels, 2 snakes, a cat, and she's left scars on the other dogs my parents own.
My girl's dog Missy (Lab) catches squirrels and rabbits often when we take her on our hunting trips. Dog is freakishly fast for a lab, in my opinion.
I miss the old days when my two Ridgebacks chased squirrels all over the place, hunted in tandem with sneak attacks and all-out brunt force attacks, and tried to climb trees to get squirrels. They got a few over the years and a possum or two. Now, my reality is one Ridgeback lost to cancer and the other Ridgeback can barely get around due to arthritis. Sad watching dogs deteriorate before one's eyes knowing how much energy they used to have and especially a love for hunting squirrels that kept them busy for hours on end. I don't suspect I will own any more dogs as they are a lot of work...especially keeping a house clean with inside dogs. As my dog ownership phase winds down, I only have my memories and most of them are of dogs chasing squirrels in the backyard and the park.
lol this just reminded me of when i was little, i must have been like 7 and a saw a squirrel get hit by a car and made my nanny help me scoop it up and give it a burial. it now resides in its grave on 3019 laquinta
