No, its because nobody watches basketball out there. Someone is ultra sensitive toward racist comments that aren't really racist. You and LeBron should be friends. Go here: mrslebronwade.com
Bunch of bitter people here. I hated "The Decision" as much as the next guy, but hell people; get over it. He wanted to go to Miami, and he went to Miami. Could he have been a little bit more sincere towards his Cleveland fans? Yea he could have. The guy is not perfect, but his talent is undeniable. I look at it this way. Do I really want to start hating another team that is clearly destined to win championships (Like the Lakers), and get upset every time they win a game? If so, it's going to be a long 5+ years watching the NBA. Screw the Miami hate. I'm glad we only have to play them twice in a year, and I'll be glad when they are winning championships instead of the Lakers. Hopefully Rockets can compete one of these seasons. I guess we will see.
What should I do? I should shake my opponents' hand after I lose. Should I stop holding one-hour-long shows about a silly decision? Should I act like I care about a team and not just me? Should I stop making a bigger ego than I already have? Should I stop making commercials that are just about me? I should.
This guy needs to understand that the world does not revolve around him. I care less what he thinks and have not even watched the ad yet. I just hated the fact that some NBA teams are becoming the NY Yankees. I don't hate the guy, I hate the way the NBA is becoming.
Silly decision?? Lol, come on man... It was at least one of, if not the biggest free agency decisions of all time, anticipated, cared about, important to, and watched by millions of people.
But the NBA has a salary cap. You're just mad that the players want to play wherever they choose and not where you want them to play. Bron and Wade took LESS money to play together so that upsets you.
Solid commercial that actually addresses a lot of the unwarranted (and downright stupid) criticism he was receiving. That's not to say that some of the criticism wasn't warranted, just that the majority of it was not.
"Less" was still a butt load of money. Lets not make it sound like they took the min to play together. Player salaries have been getting way too inflated.
There may be a lot of backlash from "The Decision" but honestly, there was a reason behind it that was with good intention, IIRC the money from the show was donated to the Boys and Girls Club of America, and sure he probably should have let teams know what he was going to do before he had the decision, but his intention was a good one.
It doesn't excuse it but it's not that serious. What excuse do the Rockets have for telling Ariza how much he would fit into our future plans to get him to sign only to kick him to thr curb? You think Landry had any idea he was being traded when he got shipped off? Why continue to bash a person for something teams do all the time? As far as screwing the fans, what about the instances when fans turn on you after your play slips (Kris Brown, Carr, T-Mac)? Where are the cries for loyalty and fairness then?
Similar to franchise values, but no one minds when the owner makes a boatload of cash. Considering that star athletes rarely take 1 penny less I'm not gonna knock dudes for taking millions less.*
I haven't and never will bash him for leaving Cleveland. I haven't and never will bash him for teaming up with another franchise guy and an All Star. It's absolutely his choice, and a lot of fans need to get over themselves. I understand when a fanbase gets pissed at a Carlos Beltran or Johnny Damon "all about the money betrayal" but that's about it. LeBron still doesn't seem to get that he wouldn't have seen a fraction of the backlash had he been gone about his departure like 99% of pro athletes. It would sting in Ohio, but no one else would bat an eye. Megalomania serves few people well.
A paycut is a paycut. Most of the time, especially outside of sports, folks would respect someone taking a paycut to pursue a new job they liked more.
supposedly someone is trying to curse lebron with a witch doctor. I think this is going too far. They need to get over it. Kinda stupid. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/truehoop/miamiheat/news/story?id=5730079
