http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=5723027&categoryid=2459788 Stockton, Malone and Hornacek. Sound like his type of guys. LOL at Hubie and Ramsey for refusing to mention trio from less than 20 years ago. Great conversation.
JVG has always spoken well about the Jazz and Sloan's brand of basketball, he even said he'd be a season ticket holder at one time.
Honestly, I was a fan of those 3 in the 90s too. Stockton was probably my favorite non-Rockets player back then. I tend to gravitate towards the efficient, hard-nosed, no-nonsense players. It never hit me how strong the Jazz hate was in Houston until I joined this website.
Oh Snap, just watching "NBA Tonight" on ESPN and when asked by Mike Breen which team could challenge the Lakers in the West, JVG said said Houston! JVG giving us some love! He has been redeemed after the Jazz comments.
He always gives us love. Honestly, the j*zz comments, can't say I blame him. Sloan beat him in the playoffs with us. You come to respect those who beat you. However, the j*zz still suck.
this are my thoughts too, I liked the Jazz back then (when they werent playing against the rockets, of course, and I dont hate them too much now.
It's not surprising that JVG would pick these dudes. Boring, but effective offense and tough minded. I hated that team. Still can't stand thinking about that team. I usually rooted against the Bulls, but I had to root for them over the Jazz. Add Ostertag to those 3 and you've got almost the starting line-up of the Hall of Fame of the most annoying NBA players ever.
I would have guessed that JVG would pick these three Rockets as his favorite trio of all time: T-Mac, Yao, Bowen
whenever someone comes on here and praises the jazz, their uniforms or says something like "i dont get all the jazz hate around here" i know right away that they were not a rockets fan in the 90's. my favorite trio of all time is hakeem and whomever else stepped up on any given night.
