Are you serious??? Johnson has done that in 4 1/2 games....Roddy White has done that in 7 games. And you're seriously going to use a 7 game sample size as your evidence that Roddy White is the best receiver in the NFL??? How about THESE stats: Andre Johnson career stats: 619 receptions 8436 yds 78.8 y/g 13.6 ypc 44 TD Roddy White career stats: 358 receptions 5235 yds 60.9 y/g 14.6 ypc 30 TD Yep, seems pretty clear to me......that Roddy White doesn't hold Andre Johnson's jock strap.
Were talking about this season and don't talk about career stats since Andre has 2 more years of experience. Plus Roddy didn't get his big break until 2007. Were talking about this year and so far Roddy has been better. It's not my fault Andre couldn't stay healthy one week. I'm not sure if you noticed but Roddy is leading the league in receiving yards so even if you don't agree with me then at least give him some credit.
What is your test for best receiver in the NFL? Who has had the best career? I don't think that is correct because I consider Johnson better than Moss but Moss has had the better career. At this point their stats are similar for the year for games played but you have to consider Andre has been injured which matters. (also has had a bye week)
Andre has also had a bye week and getting more yards per reception. also despite having a 747 compared to Andre's 488 yards, White only has 138 yards after the catch vs Johnson's 128.
I will say this Roddy is putting up those numbers with an inconsistent OC and a QB who coming into todays game has only attempted 12 passes that was 21 yards or more long.
Maybe they haven't attempted them because is Roddy isn't a great deep threat? Roddy is darn good, but I'm pretty sure every NFL team would take Andre over him.
Nah Roddy is a deep threat. It's just our OC is very conservative and Matt Ryan does not have a strong arm. I agree with you though every NFL team would take Andre over Roddy. Not a knock on Roddy but Andre is just that good and more clutch.
Aaron Rodgers seems to be a bit of a disappointment this season. A lot of teams and players are disappointing this year.
That timeout by Favre was bad for the Vikings. Now they can only stop the clock twice if they don't convert on 4th down. I was going to lay some $ down on the Vikings tonight, but glad I didn't. Favre is way too unreliable.
