Rocketgirl to Red Rowdies to Red Rowdy bashing. This always happens. It's always the same people too. Yaonow didn't you already express how you felt in the red rowdy tryout thread? Are you really on a crusade to get all the posters on this board to think the same way you do about the rowdies? Even if you succeeded, the Red Rowdies aren't going anywhere, and I'm not going anywhere. This thread is not even about the red rowdies. It's about me! :grin: So your red rowdies bashing isn't relevant to this thread. There are other threads, 2 come to my mind, you can bump if you want to express your opinion- I suggest donating to the tip jar so you can get the search function to find one of them. If you have a problem with me, sure bring that up in this thread- especially regarding me being "everywhere". Something of that sort would be more fitting for this particular thread. No one cares what you think. I love my team and I'm going to support them how I like-chanting and standing the whole game. I'll be going to about 41 home games, went to 4 preseason games including 1 away one in Dallas, and will go to at least 2 away games in SA if not any in Dallas during the season, not to mention playoff games in Houston. What do you do to support the Rockets? One of many differences between you and me? You cheer by emotion. Only when the Rockets have earned your cheers and have pleased you do you cheer. I cheer when they need it the most- when it's hardest as a fan to cheer. I love this team. I give it all I can as a fan and have a great time doing it. Some fan you are- not even knowing the rowdies sit in the lower bowl. I'm guessing you haven't been to a Rockets game before or even turned on a game to see the Rowdies behind the goal. You do your thing, I'll do mine. If you somehow get unfortunate to sit in front or behind me during a game(if you ever end up going to one) and can't handle the way I support my team, I'm sure the attendant can direct you to another seat, just like they do for the Mavs fans.
Oh yeah! I remember seeing you a bunch of times on the broadcast last night. Man, I think it's between you and Shri (Yoyo) who's the biggest, craziest, most bleeding-heart fan. You're crazy imo for even setting foot in that arena...I salute you.
first time posting about the rowdies that is my opinion about the rowdies forcing their chants onto an unwilling audience and detracting from the game by craving attention on themselves instead of the players

Sounds like you should go to bingo night instead of a Rockets game. Quit being a lame duck and get loud. Its all about cheering on the rockets. Its about booing the refs and the other teams that come in duh. A noisy crowd can definitely have influence on a game.

I hate to say it but Spurs fans are so much better then Rockets fans. I remember going to see them play Celtics and seeing the Spurs down by like 25 yet people were still screaming their heads off when Parker or Duncan would make a shot. Last year was very sad for Rockets. Went to like 20 games and almost every game looked ungodly empty. I'll be there this year still for the first half of the season though.....I'm usually the only one yelling in my section. Red Rowdy at heart.

Yeah I don't hate the Rowdies. I think they make a very shi*** attendance seem some what bearable. And I don't think they are a symptom because the year before the Rowdies were introduced our fans still sucked. Only when they are winning do I see them come out in droves. I think if we didn't have an NFL team there would possibly be more fans coming regardless of our record. I mean SA only has the Spurs so everybody in that damn city has a jersey. Or maybe Houston fans just suck? Oh and sorry for not commenting on the actual discussion. Uh yeah Rocketgirl your pretty cool. But you have big shoes to fill in order to get to that level like that little Chinese kid that used to always take off his shirt and flex. Now that's showmanship.
