that's crazy. I wasn't aware of that. I guess there isn't rules regarding standing. I do know there are rules for the first few rows that you can't have signs, at least I was told that I couldn't bring mine by the attendants.

oh cool, I didn't know you were on CF

good description of what happened at the game. I have the shirt you were wearing to the game by the way. I'll try my best to get a group to go out again in November.

When that Mav fan went off on Scola, he said "Cut your hair!" One rowdy turned around and said something like "Look at Dirk!" ahahaha.

Yeah I heard a few Mavs laughing at the it's a small world. He missed them both I believe.

We were planning on getting a "BEAT THE TRAFFIC" chant about the 2 or 3 minute mark. sure glad we didn't go through with that b/c of the ending.

Awesome! Catch us for a post game celebration in the center after we win too!

I'll never forget this. I remember a bunch of people behind us were pissed that we were standing up the whole time and rooting for our team, lol.

It was a coincidence that I sat in the CF section that game. Good times!

By the way, I've had the same thing happen to me at TC. People usually want me to shut up and sit down. I don't get it, if you want to sit down and just watch a game why not stay home? It sucks because you want to keep being loud and rowdy but you also don't want to start a fight with some old fart who is pissed off.

hearing this story of how bad the fans in Dallas are makes me want to take a trip there for a regular season game... Have you rowdies ever planned a trip to Dallas similar to the one in SA that is on youtube?

shut up they are annoying and have no influence on the game besides being a distraction to the fans. I'm sure the players don't give the faintest **** about the rowdies screaming lame chants in the upper deck

I'm as rowdy as the red rowdies when I get a chance to go to a game so I don't think they are annoying.

It's a live sporting event, not a tea party, pretty boy.

When you go to a sporting event, you act like a sports fan. PM me if you need further explanation.

Last season I went to Rockets-Jazz game in Salt Lake and had problems similar to the ones Rocketsgirl listed. That's like being mad that someone is eating popcorn during a movie...

UPPER DECK??? HAHAHAHAHAHA. IDIOT. The Rowdies are in 114 every game, the "UPPER DECK" is classified as the 400's in the Toyota Center. The players acknowledge the Rowdies all the time with the chants they do before games. Your moronic response shows nothing but you idiotic ignorance towards something either:

    A) YOU CAN'T PHANTOM THE IDEA OF YOURSELF BEING A ROWDY BECAUSE YOU WANT THE ARENA TO BE A LIBRARY OR A CHURCH.

    B) YOUR A LAME DOUCHE WHO HAS NOTHING BETTER TO DO THAN CRITICIZE SOMETHING YOU HAVE NO CONTROL OVER.

You want the arena to be a church? Go to freakin' Dallas. Ego maniacs like you fit in quite well there.

they did an official roadtrip when they were on the 22 game winning streak. other than that only a few rowdies get together to go to the game.

I went 2 seasons ago for the last game of the reg season. i didnt have as much trouble as rocketgirl had though. i also took signs and was screaming, but i did stay in my seat. everyone around me seemed fine with it.

we're planning a roadtrip to SA and then to Dallas (back to back games I believe).

oh wow silly me i didn't check the official classifications of the toyota center sections before I posted and I considered where they sat the upper levels by my own definition and not the rockets247 sanctioned designations

I also acknowledge the rowdies. There is a difference between acknowledgement and appreciation. Obviously the players aren't going to insult their most die-hard fans but there is no way the rowdies chants affect the game in any tangible way besides distracting people who are more than happy to cheer for good plays.

We both know there is a difference between pointless sophomoric chants and getting pumped up when your team does something good. Does anyone honestly think on a night where the rockets players are performing poorly they will hear the rowdies and think "oh **** listen to that! I will go out there and play harder now!"?
I love it when an arena gets that electric atmosphere where fans are all so focused on the game that a clutch free throw will send the place into hysterics, but honestly for me (this is obviously not your opinion) moments like these are ruined when screaming attention whores are constantly launching obnoxious and ineffective attempts to get the crowd involved.

I fully appreciate the attempt to get clutch city pumped up for the game, but I personally find them a distraction
    B) YOUR A LAME DOUCHE WHO HAS NOTHING BETTER TO DO THAN CRITICIZE SOMETHING YOU HAVE NO CONTROL OVER.
Once again, I cheer as loud as anyone when someone throws down a dunk, gets a steal, block, game winner, clutch jumper, nice jumphook... I could go on.

The rowdies probably view themselves as a solution to the dreary crowd at TC, but I see them as a symptom. They only work to emphasize the lame nature of the intensity in the stands because for some reason most people don't seem to enjoy participating in their junior high pep squad chants, so you end up with the small group of rowdies screaming at a disengaged crowd which makes the whole stadium look like they don't have spirit, when in reality most of the fans just don't want to say the dumb **** the rowdies come up with.

Just because I don't cheer the way the rowdies want me to does not make me not a fan, I love the rockets and I will have blood dripping from my vocal cords next time we go to the finals

I do not disagree with the rowdies mission, I disagree with their methods.
