Marc Gasol's newly sprained ankle makes me want to cry...

But honestly, I don't have much hope for my team this year anyway. I feel this is one of my worst drafts ever. In retrospect, I probably should have gone with Brook Lopez in the second round and taken a completely different direction, but even that likely wouldn't have made much difference. Having a top 4 pick is just such a super huge advantage in basketball, more so than in any of the other sports. When I look back over the draft and imagine the team I would have put together from one of the top spots, it gives me goose bumps (okay, not really, but you get the idea).

Okay, that's enough whining. Anything can happen, I guess. On with the season!

I emailed this to the league, but figured I should post it as well:

I overlooked the season beginning tomorrow, so let's first get the draft done! I will alter the draft clock to 2 hours at 9am tomorrow morning if we aren't finished by then. Consider this and the post on the BBS due notice.

Second, free agency will begin at noon tomorrow regardless of whether or not the draft is complete. This is to have a firm time for the beginning of free agency. You won't be able to pick anyone up on the league site until the draft is done, so either post your change on the BBS or email it to me. Free agent requests will be handled on a first come, first served basis beginning at 12pm CST.

I replied back, but as a suggestion, the easiest way to do this is kill the draft sometime today and those last couple of picks that are left needing to be picked, can be done in adds/drops. I really don't think that will make or break someone's season at this point and will also make it easier for you to add/drop as well - without any issues/complaining. Just a suggestion.

For the record, Fade I am with you very disappointed in my draft and what I did, not looking good at all.

We've done that once before. I would do it again, but want everyone to have as much notice as possible. I fully expect us to be done tonight or close enough that only one or two managers are on the 2 hour clock. Ideally we'll be done and free agency can begin tomorrow at noon sharp without having to email/post requests.
