I'm just glad we have a roster deep enough to minimize fatigue and injuries. I'm betting on a healthier roster. 50-53 wins with some amazing wins over other top tier teams.
You guys think that is a legit concern for us? I always thought you could never have too many good players...
can anyone tell me if bookmaker.com is a good site to use for betting? or a suggestion for a better website please.
Very reasonable line. Rockets will be well over with health, but health is not a Rockets' strong suit.
Having 2 centers taller than 6'5 as opposed to none should count for at least 5 wins Having Kevin Martin for a full season instead of 20 games should also mean a few more.
Interesting listen. Thanks. Made me think about the Rockets and DM when they were talking about Presti and the assembly of the Thunder. Something along the lines of...have they built a team that's enough to win it all et al.
I could see Jermain Taylor getting frutstrated. He was expecting to be the first two guard off of the bench. After the way he played at the end of last season and after the summer league he looked like a rotation player. Now he will be stuck behind Lee. I don't see AB not producing or being a problem child since this is a contract year for him. He could loose all the momentum he gained last season if he has a bad season. Jordan Hill looks to get plenty of time regardless if it's as the third or second string center due to Yao's status.
Even is Ariza was still here, he was not going to get any more time than he is getting now. Bud was always going to get most of the minutes at the 2/3 off the bench
I'm not very quick to jump on the "so and so just doesn't like the (insert Houston team or player here)" but if you have been reading Bill Simmons columns very long you would know he has a massive issue with the city of Houston itself. Really almost anywhere down south. He is incredibly proud of reveling in his New England blue-blood, privately educated upbringing and has always had a massive issue with Yao Ming as a player. And before anyone starts to gripe, yes he has a crush on Morey but Morey spent his whole existence and education up north nearby so...he can excuse him.
If Brooks plays worse than last year because of a contract issue... who is hurting worst by this Brooks or the Rockets? I say Brooks.
Simmons is as bad at analysis as he is good at entertainment, and his columns are very, very entertaining.
Simmons who? Does anyone still remember Barkley's prediction on the rockets last year. he said that the rockets would be last in western conference. Simmons is in the same class with Barkley, but he is a more kind of pure Yao hater, do not why, but you want to him to predict the rockets are getting more wins?
