I don't understand the negative reactions. I LOVE that almost every time somebody comes up on the market the Rockets seem to be linked to trade talk. That means Morey is really doing his job. There is very little chance that we actually acquire Varejao but I'm glad Morey is looking into what he can be had for.

And I really don't understand this "if it isn't for a star, don't make a trade" talk. If you can improve the team, you improve the team. If you can acquire desirable trade assets at a bargain price, you do that too. Then, when the star player you covet demands a trade, you're the team with the most versatile collection of talent and can make a solid offer. Is that really so difficult to understand?

a strong hustle player who can play pf/c and defend...

trade jefferies and talylor or draft pick 6.8m + 0.7m for Vajero 7m

a C/PF positions would be solid

Why people think Varejao overpaid? He tall, he rebound, he draw charge. Like Chuck Hayes, but 6'11'' so very good!

Even 34 year old Brad Miller get $5 mil a year, Varejao worth his money for sure!

Isn't Varejao making around 9M a year? How's an overpaid offensively limited guy a Morey Player? Maybe if he's only making 3M a year he'd be a DM player, but he's definitely not producing enough on the court to justify his salary.

Maybe Denver likes him a lot and DM will try to swap Jeffries for Varejao to use him as trade bait.

Varejao isn't a bargain. A lot of people here are already complaining about paying Brad 4M and paying Lowry 5M, now you want an even worse player at 6M.

I wasn't referring to his salary. I was referring to the price of obtaining him from the Cavs. And as to whether or not his salary is a bargain, I'll leave that up to Morey and his analysts to decide as well.

    Git It Done Morey!

We could use a Andy/Scola combo with Yao out of back to backs!

Great defender who knows about huffort.

Man once lebron did they pretty much did. It will be interesting to see how many wins he accounted for.

not all morey players are cheap contracts...just like he's willing to pay top dollar for lowry and scola he'd be willing to get a player worth their top amount....in AV's case, he probably has a good adjusted +/- , among other things...he's the kind of like lowry, but in the frontcourt.

A rebuilding Cavs could probably use Jeffries and his expiring contract. Plus, he's a solid backup big.

    Please. Dear. God.

    NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate floppers. (Scola and Shane do it with some contact, at least.)

VereHO would be terrible here, especially with his contract.

    I'll take Jared instead.

i would not be able to stand some crazy-haired fool that flops like a beeyotch on our team. It already bothers me that scola flops so much.
