I don't know if anyone/everyone signs up for ESPN magazine, but my friend told me about this super-hero-nba-mix style mag they were doing for this issue and I was trying to find what they did for Houston. It looks pretty cool, here's a link to all the images for each team: <img src="http://www.abandoncity.com/photos/espnmarvel.jpg"> The Rockets Yao one turned out rpetty good. Sorry, only found a link to a collective picture, couldnt find a larger one for Houston. Weapon Y, nice art.
Um.....looks random to me with virtually no connections that make sense. Exceptions: Toronto/Alpha Flight, Thunder/Thor, Suns/Phoenix, Hawks/Hawkeye They seriously didn't think to pair the Magic with Dr. Strange or Washington with Captain America? I think they threw darts here. LOL at the Cavs and Pistons, though.
The artwork is cool but BSPN has the Rockets ranked #11 in the West, behind New Orleans, the Clippers, and even, if I remember correctly, Memphis. So all that cool artwork went out the window for me.
umm 1) who cares what they think and 2) 11 sounds about right. We are a team that MISSED the playoffs last year. We have made no big additions other than Yao coming back from injury. 16 teams make the playoffs and we were not one of them last season. So moving into the top 11 sounds right.. No?
i wa looking for the rockets at first. couldnt find it, was looking for something of rockets RED. and there it goes in GREEN. FAIL!
I've seen that Yao one before...I think it's Weapon X with Wolverine on the cover, but I can't find a pic online.
I kinda like weapon Y regenerating. Since disney owns marvel and espn, along with the rest of the world, it's a pretty good cross over.
