I'd normally never admit this but my 2nd cousin is O.J. SIMPSON argue with me now...come on I dare ya
A-Train, that was hilarious (and one of my favorite movies). I'm related to the Stuart's of North Carolina, who are decendents of the Stuart's of "Mary Queen of Scots" and the Stuart kings. I know that for a fact, because my grandmother was hunted down by one of the North Carolina Stuart's who was writing a book on the family history. He invited her for a visit and she was amazed to find that they were an old, wealthy family with plantation houses and heirlooms out the kazoo. Seems her grandfather had "disappeared" to Texas to escape some problem (a duel, scorned love, something that made him turn his back on his heritage... the guy writing the book was still trying to figure it out). Texas was that sort of place for a long time. There's more people I'm related to, but not as well documented... I'll save that for another time.
From my Dad's side Daniel Boone (man, his family was busy ) Abraham Lincoln Herbert Hoover (we don't talk about that much, though) Pat Boone From my Mother's side Charlamaigne
direct descendent of judge john whittaker...first govenor of oregon. and my grandfather on my fathers side was the illegitamite child of some baron in scotland i think...i have a castle to reclaim...
Haven't done much research, but I'm a distant relative (some multiple of cousin) of country singer Alan Jackson's.
My mothers side of the family is First Family Virginia. And on my dad's side someone is related to one of the Youngers. From the James/Younger gang. Also on my mothers side, a direct decendent was in the Rough Riders with Teddy Roosevelt. We have a picture of are relative sitting on his horse pointing a pistol at the camera. We also have his gloves, leggings, from his uniform, and some actual unused bullets from him as well.
he's too "good" to make it to family reunions... actually...if i had to pick one celebrity i was least like...ed mcmahon would rank pretty darn high...somewhere after marilyn manson, though.
John Howland, a humble manservant, and a passenger on the Mayflower. I’m also probably related to the Gorm Royal Family, rulers of Denmark around 900 AD. That didn’t get me much mileage when I was in Denmark though. ;-)
I have no idea if I'm releated to anybody famous. There are some people with the same last name us me, but they aren't related. (BTW, my last name isn't Johnson, Williams, or anything like that.) Only thing I know is that my dad has some Native American blood, so I may have some NA relatives. I'd go do some search, but I am feeling like a sloth. (7 sins thread.)
by the way, theonion has a pretty good story on this: ml we are the world... we are the... http://www.theonion.com/onion3834/tracing_your_genealogy.ht
