Any suggestions on a basic, easy to use, inexpensive CD burning program? Basically, I just want to make some "Best of" CD's and back up stuff. I'm behind the times, still using my Zip drive. My wife just got a new laptop with a CD-RW, however, and I'd like to make use of it.
so the laptop didn't come with any burning software? are you looking to convert CD's into MP3's so you can burn them? if so, MusicMatch Jukebox will convert into MP3's and it's free. if you need software to burn MP3's onto CD's there are several, two that are most discussed are NERO and Roxio's Easy CD Creator. good luck
I personally like Roxio's EZ CD Creator Platinum or NTI's CD Maker Pro. Nti's is easier to use imo..but EZCD has got a ton of features.. NTI--49.99 Roxio--99.95 both of those prices are online at the manufacturer's websites..you may be able to find em cheaper. also there is Nero Burning Rom and CDR-Win and Clone CD and Click N Burn
I use Click 'n Burn...cheap and reliable. But rockHEAD is right...didn't your drive come with software?
I use Nero Burning ROM. It does everything you need for Audio CDs including editing your MP3s in all kinda ways. Bumps the decibal level up on those "shared" mp3s that are recorded too low, edits the bass and trebel levels, cuts out silent parts at the begining and end, filters out noises etc... This is just like the expensive soundforge 'cept you can also burn your Audio discs! AMAZING! It also copies media discs in one shot or keep the sessions open to ad more media. It also does the CD covers in all kinds of templates, the box it comes in, the round disc and so on... Once you mess around with it its very easy to get around in. I love my NERO! Its very cheap too, only around 20-30 bucks.
