Bogut just said that Yao was the center who gave him the most trouble to play against on NBA TV. Anyone else catched it?

I remember Perkins said a similar thing. Yao gets a lot of respect from other centers.

Bogut hasn't won a game against the Rockets when Yao has played. That could change this season.

Why do we worry about what Shaq said? I mean it's obvious that Yao is at least one of the best centers, if not the best, in the league ;)

If he could have stayed 100% healthy throughout the years.....he would have been ****ing unstoppable.

Respect from fans and journalists is cool, but admiration and respect from your peers is probably the most meaningful.

    Nice to hear.

Who else is there? Bogut has a similarly wide frame as Yao which means Dwight (or at least the old Dwight) was pretty useless against Bogut.

It's hard to guard a 7-6 center who has a midrange shot (and even develop a 3 pt shot if he worked on it) and 80%+ free throw percentage.

Yao's biggest enemies over the years have been the referees and injuries.

Very true statement. Yao is hard player to officiate. The refs let the smaller player get away with a lot while guarding Yao. Lets hope for a season without any major injuries.

That was going to be their original marketing line, but some crack genius decided Fear the Dear would be more appropriate.

Nice to hear props for Yao. The Bucks are going to be a lot better this year (top 5 in the East). I'm curious to see how the Rockets fare against them.

    Is it a suprise?

His touch and size, gives him all the advantage he needs.

If it wasn't his health and mentality, he could easily be 25/13 player.

I always thought if he wanted the ball and averaged 19-20 FGA per game, he would easily average 25 a night.

Another what if...........just like our very own Sampson.....
