Isn't Shaq dissing Howard here much more than Yao? Right now, Shaq doesn't even belong in the same discussion as Bogut or Bynum.
Maybe Shaq heard about Yao only playing 24 minutes. He only plays half a game. That's why he is half a big man.

shaq is a joker. always has been, always will. he's a child stuck in a giant man's body. that said, it was prob taken out of context and meant as a semi-compliment. most likely the best you're gonna get out of him.
i agree, coming from shaq that is a sincere compliment. he's saying that howard and yao are the only other true bigs out there, except that since yao uses some finesse and jumpers, he's not 100% in the same mold as a banger like shaq.
I will cut Shaq some slack here. I think he is just trying to be funny like he always does, and he doesn't mean any disrespect.
It's actually kind of a compliment. He's still saying that Yao is more of a "Big Man" than practically every other center in the league.
