Just curious to see. Who here tried to make his own Michael Jordan player in 2K10? Everytime they played his name from the announcer's booth it would be "J.J. Reddick" I thought that was pretty funny.
I just got a 2k11 for the pc. Hard as s***. I'm so used to playing Live and never played a 2k series before. How will I get my seasonal fix of averaging 200+ppg for my team??
Yea, I'm trying to do that, lol... When you start out, your guy is rated at 38. He's basically a scrub beyond scrub with very low stats all around. I still don't understand how to score efficiently in this game. I'll set a pick every time I get the ball, but most of the times I still get blocked. When I do go in for a lay up, I miss 75% of the time. My guy never dunks...ever. He has like 60 in dunking and he never dunked in the combine, summer league or the 9 pro games I've played so far.

Just purchased it. I'm able to get a faster DL speed off a torrent than legit online store. That's sad. So I'm DLing the game from a torrent, will use my key.
FYI, PC version isn't the same, and not a great port. These games are specifically made for consoles, and then ported to PC. Buy the console version. This advice was given from a little birdie from 2K Games.
Does anyone else feel like they're moving on ice-skates in this game? I didn't buy NBA 2k for the first time ever last year, because of that feeling of imprecise controls in the demo. I went ahead and bought NBA 2k11 this year though on the strength of the reviews. Played it a bit and think it's okay, the whole My Player mode is pretty interesting. But I feel like I don't have good control over my player. I'll try to make a quick couple steps on defense to run and cover my man, and my player ends up skating 8 steps instead of 2 or 3. Thought maybe I was imagining things, but I popped in NBA 2k9 and the control is so much crisper and more responsive. They didn't trap you in animations forever.
Just the overall presentation of the game, the porting of the game wasn't done well. At least thats what they told me, and recommended the console version. It's not dealing with controllers or anything.
Console-to-PC ports are bad news. Just look at HAWX. That crap wouldn't even run for a lot of people.
I have the xbox version of the game. when I play in my player mode, I can not sim to my next appearance anymore, so I am bascially watching the computer plays. anyone else have the same problem?
John Stockton's shot of the game looks just like AB's IRL! Try it out and see. I'ma get them to change his shot around the 1st update when the season starts. If they do, watch out, cause AB will have the deadliest jumper in the game period. With his speed to get free he will literally drain EVERY open J! :grin:
Just found out how to change the quarters from 5 mins to 9 and now I'm beasting it up. Scored 34 points then 28 points in the first two so far. I was drafted 24th I think by the Grizzlies and demanded a trade. A few games later and I'm a Jazz . A few games after that I'm now a starter. I wonder how much longer I can continue playing this mode before I get bored
