Need advice for medical student internship in Houston

Hi, my girlfriend and a friend of hers are medical students here in Belgium and are in their last year before residency (7th year). Basically this year is about going from hospital to hospital for internships and they have the opportunity to also go abroad for a month internship.

As I have family in Houston and Corpus Christi, it'd be great if she could follow an internship at one of Houston's many hospitals. I would of course visit her and my family but at the same time this would allow me to attend some Rockets games as the last regular season game I went to was over 3 years ago (thank god for league pass international and Rockets2K ).

Anyway, we've tried sending emails to physicians at Memorial Hermann and Texas Children's Hospital but we never got any answer hence my thread.
I know that clutchfans has members from every background so if any of you could give us some advice or info on what the process is to follow an internship for international students, who to contact etc., that would be great!
