I see some improvements in his decision-making and his defense but it's parts of 2 games. He's gone through mini-stretches like that in the past, too. You have to do it for 82+ to prove that it's real.

And I fully disagree about Lowry. He's still a beast and he'll look as good as last season and probably better as the season progresses.

I think Lowry's role will decrease as Lee's increases, and he will not be as productive this season as he was last year.

Oh, no doubt. He and scola will definitely be ready when the games start to matter. It's just that he looks like he's trying to prove something...whereas it looks like brooks knows he can be the man when need be. Still just preseason, though.

I just remember thinking that if the rox were gonna have any shot at the playoffs last year, brooks would have to be the guy and I really wasn't sure if he could be. I feel completely confident in his ability to be a game changing player going into this season.

I'm actually kinda worried about him and yao being able to play together much like it was at the beginning of every season with t-mac. That's pretty high praise for aaron.

His defense is improving. He's fighting over screens, rotating on defense, and he's made some steals (3 in the Magic game). If you expecting some lock-down defender, then get over it. That's not who he is (along with a number of Rocket players).

Lowry has always played like this. He's not a Steve Nash with his decision making. He is what he is. A tough, physical PG who's not offensive minded or a distributor, but instead uses his "intangibles" to score. It's kind of weird since most PG's are either shoot first or pass first. Lowry is neither.

Havent been able to watch these first 2 games...but from Clutch's tweet about what Rick Adelman said tonight, (not that Ws-Ls matter right now) I thought we lost tonight. What's it looking like out there?

Hell yeah, boi!!! Ya'll thought he had a breakout season last year? Wait 'till you see him doing that with Yao on the court.

    AB's becoming a legit star.

After watching Kyle Lowry in tonight's game, I've changed my opinion about trading either Brooks or Martin. I now would rather trade Martin than Brooks. Lowry is NOT starting material, tonight's game has showed you why. When teams stack up in the paint, Lowry will be USELESS, he can't shoot or shoot off the dribble. His only game is penetrating the paint and either drawing the foul or passing out to an open shooter. We need shooters in Adelman's offense. Courtney Lee is more starting material than Lowry is.

DM said in his recent interview after the Orlando game that they wanted the 2nd unit to step up the pace. Perhaps that's why Lowry tried to be more aggressive tonight.

After the loss to Orlando too, I think KM wanted to establish his offensive game. But generally I think he is still pacing himself with the intention of avoiding injuries.

I know the Rockets need to sell tickets, so RA's talk was to challenge his team to pick it up. Meanwhile the veterans like Shane and Luis know when to turn it on and off. They're preparing for the season opening. I'm not too worried about them.

I wonder whether RA would try Lowry with the starting unit. The starting unit lacks a playmaker which is why the offense become stagnant. I think Lowry will be able to get the ball to Yao in the right spots. Of course I know they want AB to space the floor with his 3's ... but it's just a thought.

I think Lee and Lowry play too much alike that they might "clash" or render the other redundant. Meanwhile the starting unit lacks the slashing bulldozing tactics of the pair.

awesome look at hill grabbing those boards. yao's still getting his timing but he's moving up. lowry is too aggressive and tends to get stuck in the middle or have a turnover...hopefully that turns around soon.

For me I was most impressed with Jordan. He hit 3-4 mid range jumpers and his hussle for offensive boards was great to watch. He has a long way to go but i like him.

the one high pick and roll that AB and Yao ran was great to watch, i feel like that will be a great weapon when Yao gets back his sharpness.

At the end of the day pre-season is a time to experiment and we shouldn't over analyze.

Kyle will be fine, don't be hating

thats exactly what ive been thinking, though thinking more into it, maybe they can compliment each other in a way that they can open up holes for each other.

The team does look sloppy right now on both ends of the floor, some individual performances have been impressive but still plenty of work to be done on the team side.
