Yao was meh Hill looks very promising, but plays better with the second unit I have no idea whats wrong with Scola Brooks/Martin look great Lowry looks too aggressive Budinger is great Not sure how I feel about Lee yet
I'm very psyched to have Lee on board based on the postive things I've seen. I know he made some mistakes like every other player out there but I think that if you make an "Ariza or Lee" poll in 3 months, it'll be about 95% in favor of Lee. I'd be interested to see where people stand now and then to make a 2nd poll in about 3 months.
Ya but one thing that irks me is, Kmart low assists and his defense still suck. Which means, if he ain't scoring, he ain't helping.
Sure hope the Nuggets were watching this game. Jordan Hill raising his trade value. All in all, this core is deep and pretty solid but not a championship contender.
For some reason, I'm beginning to dislike Lowry's gameplay. He's overly aggressive and forces himself into a lot of situations in which he has nowhere to go. I know it's the preseason but I'm hoping he levels out till then.
I was kind of thinking the same. I'm really disappointed that he's still not confident in his mid range game. I really wanted to him to show a big improvement and give Brooks some good competition so Brooks would also have to keep improving. There's still more preseason games to play but so far, Lowry loves bulldozing into the lane and pulling a pump fake with nowhere to go.
Well they had a scout at the Nets game tonight looking at Favors shoot 0-5 and foul out quickly. Hill seems to be soooooooo much more advanced right now but I imagine they are looking at potential and Favors still has the edge there.
Lowry laid a turd in the punchbowl today. And I've been one of his biggest proponents over Brooks from day 1. He will improve, he's got nowhere to go but up. But an even more difficult debate to resolve than Brooks vs Lowry this year (since they will both play significant minutes obviously) is this idea that has taken root in the heads of many a fan including myself, that being whether or not Lowry is better suited to complement Martin and Brooks better with Lee. If you had to start one pair, Lowry and Martin or Brooks and Lee which would it be? One of Lowry/Martin becomes your Bobby Jackson/Manu Ginobili scoring 6th man, Jackson being the prominent example of a 6th man PG and Ginobili a 6th man SG. Personally I go Lowry Martin starting, Brooks Lee finishing unless you have the ability to do defensive subs each possession in which case you'd get away with Brooks Martin on offense.
I'm not sure if anybody else is seeing it, but aaron is really starting to carry himself like a star. He's not over aggressive, he's picking his moments incredibly well...plus he's got that 'aggitated with his teammates' look down pat. Lowry just looks out of control in comparison.
