I might be way off, but I sense a mind game by PJ directed towards Bynum, perhaps to motivate him to rehab vigorously instead of taking his sweet time. Why else would PJ publicly compare Bynum to Yao? What is to be gained by saying something like that? Don't think for one minute that PJ doesn't calculate what he says publicly. Probably no coach in NBA history has played so many public mind games with players (both his own and opponents).

what do you mean might? he already is. the lakers can withstand it b/c they have arguably the best frontline WITHOUT bynum. so thank god bynum is oft-injured or else the lakers will destroy every team.
