Our bench looked great, our starters not so much.

Preseason game one against a team that's played together for a while and has great chemistry from years of experience, we'll get there.

It really feels good to watch a Rockets game again, it seems like it took forever for the season to get here. Great game :)

I didn't quite see Yao play because video quality is terrible. But i notice the Rockets defense are horrible. You can't judge Yao for just one game and playing limited minutes. They're being cautious....but i think he will be fine.

I am really looking forward to seeing the Rox playing the Wiz this year. I am really interested in seeing AB going against John Wall. After watching the wiz play today (actually only the second half), Wall is damn fast. Will be interesting to see who is faster between him and AB.

You kidding me right? Martin will get murdered by the big SFs on defensive end.

Martin is getting mudered by the SGs as well. Anyway, his defense sucks regardless of position.

No one suffered a significant injury. Mission accomplished.

When a lot of people say this year's squad will be significantly better than last year's because we have Yao now... I just don't believe he will make THAT significant a difference/impact. If we had the old Yao back, I agree we are a contending team. But with a limited Yao, both physically and playing time-wise, I only see our improvement being slight. I mean Yao being back with the addition of Miller is definitely better than last year but I don't believe they will shore up the paint as defensive presences either. Defense will be an issue this season form the looks of it even though a lot of emphasis has been put on it this training camp. It might be a chemistry thing and everything will click as they all play more games but I was disappointed in the defensive performance tonight.

I really hope Bud takes that step in his game where he is just not content with spotting up and becomes involved in the game in other ways because he is capable athletically and basketball IQ-wise, because losing Ariza is going to hurt us, especially with him coming on strong towards the end of last season.

Lee looked good but I wonder how he will get significant minutes with Martin already slotted for the majority of the minutes at the 2 and neither can play the 3.

It seems to me that Yao had been advised not to jump. If not, Rockets has a problem...... Ooh, I forgot, it is Yao first game back.

Brooks needs to reliase that there a better option on the floor now then just dribbling around the perimeter and jacking 3's 5 feet behind the line.

If his shot selection and court vision does not improve expect Morey to cash in his chip.

Once Morey realizes what the ceiling of a asset is he starts trying to get rid of it so he gets the best value possible.

Examples: Carl Landry , Trevor Ariza , David Andersen , Rafer Alston

Against the big SFs, you bring in Patterson.

Then for Yao Ming, it should not call jump hook but stand hook... ;)

    This.

It's just preseason, we will improve and hopefully stay healthy.

Lee and Martin are pure SGs. Never try to put them on other positions.

Bingo...this trade is still a big fail unless the Rockets actually do something with that trade exception.

It will suck even more against small forwards. We also will be lacking size and will get murdered on the glass.

But Lee can guard the SF position as well. You have heard Aldeman, SVG, and Morey all say that in interviews. Plus Lee has always been the one to guard Lebron everytime his team has played him. If he can guard/limit Lebron, then that should show u most SF in the league shouldn't be a problem.
