I won a cake at a cake walk at a church fair and I won a partial bottle of vodka at some raffle frat pledges held to raise money.
I won $500.00 from this radio station one time.. They just called me and left me a message.. I was like yeah okay whatever.. Went down to their office and cashed the check.. It cleared... I still don't know how or why I won that money..
I won a Rod Carew rookie card back in 1995. Back then it was worth about $500, and today it appears the card is worth $150 or so. Damn you deflation!
I just won the first season of Titan Maximum on DVD! I haven't opened it yet but I heard the special features are cool.
Some mountain bike at The Exchange apartments in College Station way back. And $200 through some coke thing there they had visa prepaid cards in the 12 packs.
One time in jr high I got a phone call from the old Power 104 radio station and all I had to do was tell them "The phrase that pays" and I'd win $100 or something. I had no idea what the phrase was because I 'hated 104 and all the new waver crap' they played and, resplendent in my super-awesome Metal Up Your Ass t-shirt, I told they guy exactly that. F*** you, Power 104. I was an angry kid. True story.
Okay, I really didn't want to share this, but I'm too excited. I received an e-mail from the British Lotto Corporation this morning indicating that I won $500,000 pounds! I don't remember entering, but the important thing is that I won! I already sent them my banking information, so once that checks out I'll be living the high life, baby!!!
Well, I don't think this counts, but..... I won a trip to L.A. to see the Rockets and Lakers play. It was during halftime at a Rockets game. We had the option to pick a present and win what was inside, or shoot a free throw and win a trip to San Antonio to see the Rockets vs. Spurs. I was lucky enough to pick the right one. My ex was the last person and figured there were no good prizes left, so she decided to shoot the free throw. Well, she told the announcer she couldn't make the free throw and he offered to let her shoot a layup. She said she couldn't make that either, at that time Bo Outlaw walked out and said he'd shoot a layup for her. We ended up winning the L.A. trip and the San Antonio trip. I almost got into 4-5 fights at the L.A. game because I was wearing my Rockets gear..... Pugs
I won an oil-filled depth gauge when I was 17 at a dive meeting...door-prize. Funny thing is dad and I share the same name, but I'm the III. It was great fun leaving my dad sitting in his chair that day.
Boombox (one of those cassette/cd/radio) at a school event. So... which one was the biggest thing you have ever won? Besides SeƱor 'tavern, of course.
