i think the biggest difference b/w LeBron & Kobe is that LBJ is NOT clutch; thus, i don't understand everyone listing him in their line-up. I don't see PG - Nash or Wade SG - Kobe or Manu SF - Durant PF - Landry or Dirk C - Yao or Duncan with
sorry, accidentally pressed Submit. Some players are more clutch than others. (In my eyes, Kobe, Manu, Nash, and Wade are tops.) With that being said, here are my choices (with their next-best replacements): PG - Nash or Wade SG - Kobe or Manu SF - Durant or LeBron PF - Landry or Dirk C - Yao or Duncan
LeBron was statistically the most dominant clutch player in the NBA last year: http://www.82games.com/0910/CSORT11.HTM With "4th quarter or overtime, less than 5 minutes left, neither team ahead by more than 5 points" he has averaged the most points per game in the NBA 2 of the past 3 years, second behind Kobe 2 years ago. The guy also led his team to two straight 60+ game seasons. Just because someone doesn't win a title doesn't mean he's not a crunch-time player. You can't pick the playoffs as a deciding factor because LeBron outperforms and goes farther in the playoffs than Carmelo and Durant too.
Duncan is a horrible FT shooter, and IMO, you got to hit your FT to be clutch. It's too easy to put you on the line. I' get the whole, not being able to get it in to Yao arguement, but no reason to take Duncan over a guy like Pau for example. Yea, I don't really want Howard out there either.
How does no one put Big shot Rob in this thread!!? He has hit some of the most important shots for his team EVER!! Robert Horry was the man!!
2 guards, 2 forwards 1 center is how i choose wade kobe anthony pierce duncan lebron is great but i would say the other 4 guards/forwards have a better history of making the play down the stretch than lebron (not saying that he cant) as for the Center position, duncan does shoot his ft% and a low rate but he usually makes the right play on either end (defense is a clutch attribute too) to help his team win
If I was down and needed a bucket and I could pick a team- PG - Steve Nash - Great decision maker, great 3 point shooter SG - Dwayne Wade - Why over Kobe you ask? With a good team, I want Wade to slash to the basket SF - Durant - Can't leave him either PF - Gasol - He can do it all, and is good at tipping the ball in. C - Dwight Howard - Purely there to slam the ball back in or get an alley oop if they don't pay attention. If I needed one player at each position - PG - Deron Williams/Steve Nash - I prefer Nash as a shooter, but Williams is younger and better at creating his own shot now. Nash with a pick and roll is just as deadly SG - Kobe Bryant - There's no place on the floor he can't make a shot from. SF - Carmelo Anthony - Can always get a solid mid range jumper off PF - Dirk Nowitzki - Not blockable C - Pau Gasol - I'm putting him at center, since I don't trust any center except Yao in the clutch.
You people are stupid for not putting Brad Miller in as your clutch center. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/SbpqeQXfCrg?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/SbpqeQXfCrg?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/phoDZBQlp7E?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/phoDZBQlp7E?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

Steve Nash - No question most clutch PG Kobe Bryant - No question most clutch SG Paul Pierce - Arguable but he's pretty damn clutch at SF. Lebron is clutch until it's the game to win it all Duncan - Almost went with Dirk at PF Yao - There isn't a Center more clutch than Yao
Steve Nash - Obvious the clutchest PG in the League Kobe Bryant - "Kobe, Give me a break" Last season showed his real determination for a 3 Peat this season Lebron James - Game winner against Magic (2 seasons ago) and the one against GSWarriors Dirk - The game @Bucks when he hit a crazy shot (i throught it was going to miss) Yao - In Clutch City, meaning he is the most Clutch centre in NBA =-=-=-=- Just missed out -=-=-=-= Brandon Roy - Against Rockets Dwyane Wade - "This is my house, baby" Gibert Arenas - He was a Hero Tracy McGrady - Just one game. The 13pts in 44secs Reggie Miller - CLUTCH, future HOF
