So there is no way to watch Rockets if you live outside Texas then. Unless you get NBA league pass or something. I thought that if you get multi-sports package, you can watch it EVEN if you're outside of Houston. If it meant for just local sports team....why advertise as if you get all these 29 something local FOX sports channels. I thought you get a bunch of local sports channels by signing up multi-sports package and watch it nobody where you're coming from. I live in Sacramento and i get Comcast sports Net CA and Bay Area and i get to see all Kings games. I don't need multisports package to watch them...that is what confuse me about the multi sports package.
Guys, don't worry about it. Dish and Fox will come to an agreement before Halloween. I seriously doubt Dish is gonna lose all of their valuable customers. Worst case scenario, you miss a couple of preseason games.
Man, I don't know. It's looks like a brutal, nasty battle. Dish claims that Fox is trying to increase pay by 50% and will not let them bully their customers. Fox says those claims are false and it's another case os Dish being horrible in keeping their programming. I don't know who to believe but I'm getting a little antsy wondering if, and how much, Rockets I will be missing.
I think they will work it out by the end of this month at the latest. They don't want to risk losing millions of Rockets fans to DirecTV. Red Rising on Dish!
Not just Rockets fans, but people in the same boat all across the country who have Fox Sports for local sports. Not to mention the Saturday college football.
Hmm, one side throwing out numbers, the other simply saying "nuh uh". My money is on FOX gouging DISH.
From what I've read about the "Fox bullying customers" it seems that sounds as if Dish will raise the price of having those channels, even if an agreement is reached.
First time poster: I cancelled Dish and signed up w/Comcast this morning. To me, the first game begins tomorrow with the 1st pre-season game; can’t wait till the end of October until Dish can work something out. I was surprised there was little or no resistance from Dish when I placed my call to cancel. Is FSHouston in HD on Comcast? Fox is not to blame. It is all about supply and demand. I would have appreciated the option from Dish to pay a little more to keep FS.
Will this have any affect on people who have League Pass with Dish and do NOT live in Houston. Will I still be able to watch all the Rockets games?
Help !!! I have Dish and live around 65 miles north of Houston. There are no options, other than Direct here, which would just help Murdock and Fox in their monopoly attempt. Question...is there anywhere to see the pre-season games on the web? Either live or following the games? If so, please explain in the simplest of terms, for one who is not computer savvy. Thanks.
not necessarily true.... he did mention "following the games", which I took as meaning after the game...if that is the case, there *is* an option if you dont mind waiting anywhere from 10-16 hours afterwards.
Thank you everyone for the help...I don't care if they're a week old, just want to see them. Been waiting for months for this. So what is the option?
