Unless they run a draw play up the middle....then we're just gonna escort them for an 8 yard gain.

Ballhawk, hard-hitter, water boy, i dont give a crap how as long as the dude catches the ball when it hits him in the hands...I think that is what Nolan is good at, judging by his preseason play...Wilson lets to many picks go right through his hands...

Great heads up plays by Nolan. Wilson would have dropped those picks. Its about time we got some INTs.

Nolan is a bad ass. What a steal in the draft.

Great to see Kubiak rode the right guy.

Bad news is, Nolan blew deep coverage and reacted 7 points late to the Reese catch out of the backfield. Miller did a great job pinning Pollard and the LBs in (either Pollard or the LOLB had Reese), and Nolan was caught with his pants down.

Absolutely made up for it with the two heady picks...decent degree of difficulty on the first.

Now the question is whether Kubiak keeps him out there or stays loyal to Wilson. Don't forget how not even the jaws of life could tear Kubiak away from Chris Brown and Slaton last year.

True, but how can you not start your first two interceptions of the season. I understand Kubiak's loyalty and sense of respect for "his guys" but sheeshhh. Am I right about that being our first picks of the year?

I thought the play on the Reese TD was Pollard getting semi-picked by Miller and then his own man.

Yeah a late round steal in Nolan if he seriously pans out.

I was SO happy to see Nolan out there fairly early in the game. Great decision that paid off handsomely.

True - Pollard was playing up and the commentators mentioned that Reese was his assignment (may or may not have been accurate, a lot of times the same side OLB has responsibility). Either way, Miller did a textbook job with his (illegal) screen to pin them inside.

If you get a good overhead replay, you'll see that Nolan is in the play with deep coverage. It's always his responsibility to follow the play, and he didn't break to the sidelines until it was far too late to help.

Being fair, I couldn't see if the Raiders sent a receiver out deep on the opposite side to pull Nolan away. Also, I highly doubt Wilson or Barber make the play if swapped for Nolan.

The Texans forced 3 turnovers yesterday. When was the last time that ever happened, let alone all in the 2nd half?

2009 Texans draft was real good. Brian Cushing, Glover Quin, Connor Barwin, Antoine Caldwell, Brice McCain, Troy Nolan all look like decent to very good players. This list doesn't even include Arian Foster who was undrafted. I still think the 2006 Draft for the Texans was better but this isn't far behind.

When it's all said and done, it may be even better.

Too bad about Barwin though :(
