Clutch needs to ask Jordan how many times him and Chase have hit up 6th Street... ;)

I think everything would change for Jordan If he just cut his hair, seriously.

Our 6'6"-6'7" SG is 185 lbs.....

That can't be a good thing (combined with our 160-170 lb point guard in Brooks)

Believe the "FACT I" if you want. The local media is never the puppet of the team or likes to pump sunshine about smaller role players to pump the fans up on slow news days. Hill has value - enough value to trade - but not enough value to keep if they sign a 3rd C - and pay the LT for it.

Do you really believe that they'd keep 3 Cs (Yao, Miller and Dampier) and 5 PFs (Scola, Hayes, Patterson, Hill and Jeffries) - AND go over the LT in the process? Your eating up more than 1/2 of your spots on 2 positions. I think all 3 C spots will be used because of Yao's restriction. But even with reserve I can see only see 4 PF spots being used. So who could it be?

    Scola - not a chance.
Hayes - too smart, too good of D, too valuable as a backup C if 1 of our Cs goes down. In fact I see him as Scola's backup for most of the year.
Patterson - you're not going to cut the new #1 pick rookie.
Jeffries - While I think most Rocket fans would like to see Jeffries as the odd man out, trading him will be costly if not impossible. I don't think they'll cut Jeffries as he makes too much to just eat the salary and they'd still be over the LT.

    That leaves 1 man...

Math is about logic and theories. You may choose to live in the #2 world and rationalize your own THEORIES but I prefer to live in #1. Hill will be caught in the numbers game not because he stinks but because he's the odd man out.

This board leaves me really confused about Jordan Hill.

    Two things we know:
    1. He showed really good potential last year with flashes of excellence mixed in with some rookie mistakes.
2.He looked terrible in the summer league.

Why does everyone only seem to care about #2 and some practice **** against Johnson?

Wow, you are really good. I had no idea that 10-15 lbs of additional weight was needed to keep him free of injury. Where did you get that information?

Exactly, summer league doesn't mean sh**, you tend not to see good players stand out in the summer league, so I'm happy he didn't do well. It's always some fringe player that has his way in the summer leagues.

I actually think he'll turn out to be a decent player, not an allstar, but a solid 15Pts 8Reb kind of player. He started playing basketball late, so maybe he might be able to do even better, who knows, big men tend to develop later in their careers.

Have you heard the one about Chase being a better option than Melo because Melo would be a locker room problem?

I'm really excited about Hill. Just worried about how much time will be available to him with so much depth. He really should of been playing a lot more last year once we were out of it, in place of Hayes.

i'm curious to see if this offseason will be a distraction for brooks or whether he'll play through it

its a contract year for him so he knows he has to perform. i think morey would like to see better efficiency from brooks.

If we are truly gonna be a championship contender, Jordan Hill will probably spend the bulk of his time on the bench in street clothes unless an injury occurs or if we are up by like 20 going into the 4th quarter.

Which is a good thing because that means Yao has progressed extremely well and we have so much depth at the 4-5 spot.

More than that. even 195-200 is too skinny for his height.
