Anyone can call me Anti-Semitic but it's pretty obvious the Jews run a drastic amount of media outlets and can get any point they want across through those outlets. Their bloodlines have a ton to do with this.
I think it's possible that hardship in one's history creates fantastic students in the future. For Jews, I think they faced an especially high level of hardship, so maybe that's what caused the surge into universities?

Why are there so many hot Jewish actresses? I'm honestly curious, is it genetic or other factors like the hot Jewish woman population getting more acting opportunities (or families have more money for plastic surgery etc.)?
It's kind irrelevant who controls what. In a perfect world that is. So you just kind have to ask yourself, in our crappy little world, do Jewish people in high positions also lobby for more Jews to succeed them or do they not care?

Here's a group that is not out to spread their beliefs/culture (unlike Christians and Muslims). Couple this with the fact that about 6 million of them (a good 30% in the 50's) were murdered. I think they have a reason to exclusively network and support one another. They do collectively put a HUGE emphasis on education, not wealth. And yes, there will be people out there who twist this into a "zommggggg they're trying to take over the world". The state of Israel, that's another can of worms.
The thing is, it is actually only one ethnic Jewish subset, the Ashkenazi. If you are Sephardic or Mizrahic Jew, then it turns out you are very average.

I'm Jewish. I suppose this is anecdotal, but my entire family is more intellectual than 95% of the people I encounter on a daily basis. I think people really underestimate the effect of culture, especially one that emphasizes and promotes learning and analysis at a young age, while the mind is still plastic.
"Jews run Hollywood" is a loaded phrase. Regardless of truth or falsehood, it's one of those phrases around which people will circle their wagons. It's like saying "blacks aren't as smart as whites" or "Asians have smaller dicks." It's probably generally true, and even substantiated by statistics but to get along in society it's an unwritten rule for the harmony of society that we all pretend doesn't exist. I'm no expert but it definitely seems that Jews promote Jewish talent. In turn they're in positions to advance their views and influence society. It doesn't have to be something malicious but it seems that there's a huge over-representation of Jews both in news and in entertainment. Even people you wouldn't think of as Jewish like Matthew Broderick, Jack Black, Gwyneth Paltrow, Scarlett Johansson, Jon Favreau, Louis CK etc all have Jewish heritage. It seems Jewish ethnicity is a deliberate advantage in Hollywood just as being Latino or Asian is detriment (as was being gay back in the day). Obviously not all these people share the exact same views or are subject to a grand conspiracy some of the people most critical of NeoConservatism and Israel are guys like Sean Penn or Oliver Stone who are of Jewish heritage. But as a whole, Jews in America have deliberately accumulated collective political capital that vanilla white people generally dont have. And dont say it doesn't have any practical effect. Look how fast that asshat Rick Sanchez got fired. You think they have more of a right to network and support one another than other people? 6 million Poles were killed in the Holocaust. 35 million were killed by Mao. Stalin deported the entire population of Kalmyks and nearly wiped them out. Yet none of these folks claim some higher moral ground to advance themselves over other people. Most people have something in their history that they could hold onto. But in the US it's pretty much agreed that if we're here we all let go of that stuff and stop thinking of our own group and think of the collective good.

Yes, Jewish women love me. Jewish men are not very ballsy. Intelligent and refined yes, but gutsy, no. So they've taken strongly to the arts and education to compensate for this and there's nothing wrong with that.
During the middle ages, loaning money and charging interest (or usury) was consider by Christians a sin. Often, you'd go to your local Jewish resident to borrow money if no one is willing to give you an interest free loan. As for where the large nose stereotype came from, I don't know.
