I didn't really want to see this movie because I don't use facebook or any social network sites, but these reviews are pretty amazing. Looks like we are looking a Best Picture here.

I still cannot see my self paying to see this movie.
That level of praise is very high . . . hard to live up too.

I generally don't give alot of stock to critics, reviews etc.

Hell, even if you don't want to take reviews into account, just the talent behind this sold me before I even saw the trailer. David Fincher is one of the best directors in the business, period, and Aaron Sorkin is an amazing writer. No film can go wrong with both of those two behind it

They could have done this movie about Bill Gates and his Microsoft story, but I guess they wanted to keep up with the pop culture of today.

 

By doing it in modern times, people can relate better. I've heard reviews saying it captures the feel of this generation perfectly, or something to that effect. And obviously the marketing aspect

 

Wasn't the movie Antitrust loosely based about Bill Gates?

 

Roger Ebert thought so, but many critics said you can apply that movie to any CEO of a software giant.

Plus the movie is based off the book The Accidental Billionaires, which one of the Facebook co-founders was a primary consultant on.

 

And Armond White gives the first negative review as usual.

its not about facebook, its about the story and people behind it. Plus David Fincher and Aaron Sorkin can make anything good.

Saw this movie at an Advanced screening last night. It is Great!!! In my top 3 of the year next to Inception and KickAss. Great music by the great Trent Reznor.

 

Downloaded the 5 track sampler from the website and the soundtrack is fantastic. Hoping the movie will be at least good, if not great.
