    I remember TVs used to boost a feature for "audio normalization" that made loud commercials stay at the same volume. The setting is there, but it doesn't do squat.

    I used to suffer from these all the time watching Rockets' games on FSN with my old cable company.

    With U-Verse, however, I haven't had an issue with some commercials being louder. Maybe they throttle it themselves?

    Yay finally.. I hate watching TV shows and movies on TV that the dialogue is barely audible that you have to turn your volume all the way up.. Once that commercial hits BAM I'm death ...

    great to see Congress hard at work using force to stop private companies from doing any little thing that annoys them

    next we'll get a law banning long checkout lines at the grocery store because some politician got annoyed
