At my age just running is a damn good thing. But when I was younger: Soccer - Left Wing: left leg was just as strong and coordinated as the right. US Army: 62 pushups in 1 minute, out ran everybody on Tank Hill (Ft Jackson reference) Triathlons/Marathons: FINISHED!!!!!!! Disc Golf: great teacher (everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY I turned Disc Golf on to or taught has surpassed me I think to answer your query directly, Long, very long distance running would be my game.
I was timed at drinking two beers (24 ounces) in under two seconds through a funnel in college. Three very quick swallows. And I was pretty decent with a frisbee. Other than that, I pretty much suck.
Catching skills are average at best; throwing skills are sub-par at best... Put a lacrosse stick in my hands and I'm good as gold.
i'd say versatility and coordination....i can pretty much pick up any sport and at least look/play decently......which seems odd, considering i'm trying to rehab from a couple muscular dysfunctions. Hopefully that'll just improve my coordination, but i'm worried it'll take the versatility. Sometimes the most mechanically efficient/balanced people are not very good at making very specific unilateral movements, like shooting, throwing, hitting, etc.
I can take a hit and give one- tackles or punching. My eye-hand coordination is very good and I can catch a ball well. If strength matters, I'm fairly strong. I'm a fairly good swimmer, and I can surf. I have good stamina. In bed. I'm slower than molasses running. My throwing/shooting is about as good as my 4-year-old.
I have strong legs and long arms. Which means I can dunk at 5'11". I also surprise people with blocks/rebounds. I also have a deadly accurate wrist shot in hockey. But my slap shot sucks.
I was a pretty good pitcher. But my throwing skills where raw/rough around the edges. I never had anyone around to work with me growing up and therefore improvement took to long.
Great swimmer (competitively for 8+ years until end of HS) and I can throw a ball/frisbee/whatever quite well and accurately (was a pitcher in little league). I can also jump pretty high (touch a 10' rim while being only 5'11").
I'm not sure if this counts as athletic but I have pretty good hand-eye coordination. I was always a pretty good contact hitter in baseball when I played, just not much in terms of home run power.
