Thanks for the well-wishes. I'll stop by Monday when I get the chance. Actually, unless I call you at your place of business, you won't get to hang up on me. I'll pretty much only be doing business calls, though I can do individual sales. I'm a lot more excited about the potential of moving up in the organization than I am about sitting on the phone all day....hey whatever it takes.... That, and I no longer have to work at my old job: as a graphic designer making next to nothing with no benefits and no future potantial. At least now I'm working for an honest, established place of business that I happen to be passionate about. I won't be making much, and I'm only part time so I won't get any benefits, but this job offers something I haven't had since I graduated from college: POTENTIAL. I doubt my paychecks will bounce, which was an all-to-often occurance at my last place of employment.
Nothing like having your boss (or his boss) right over your shoulder. By the way Tim, we bought about 4 12-packs last week and got excellent service from the sales department (Eric P). My friends and I are pretty excited about the season. I assume the Rockets are still going to hold the preseason promotion where they sell $10 tickets again? I need to fill out my season a bit.
Congradulations Lynus, that is awesome. Hopefully, one day, you will be my co-worker. I am currently majoring at UH in Sports Administration and my goal is to get a position with the Rockets when I graduate, if Im lucky. But anyway, I am happy for you dude.
Congrats on landing the job!... i am applying for a postion in the media relations dept. Hopefully, it'll give me some good experience and an opportunity to move up. Another UH Sports Admin major here even though I graduated from UT and am a Longhorn for life.
The Summit...I thought you were doing sports management in hopes to manage the Waller Highschool girls tennis team???
I suggest taking a trip to Lake Charles, La and talking to the Casino managers Since most of their customers come from Houston (and Asian), I'd bet they could be talked into buying season tickets of some sort
LOL! You mutha@#$%*! I already tried managing my high schools cheerleaders, it got old. Now Im ready for the Rocks.
