Well theres talk of Denver not talking to NY unless its the last resort. Still there is a chance that NY and Chicago could get back in the game. Is Rocket Randolph still a possibility?

as much as I think Gallo is overrated, this statement is false.

Considering Denver not wanting to take on extra salary for an extended time, it appears that NY would be the better choice over Jersey. The only huge contract that would coming out of NY is Curry and that would only be for this season. Even if NY gives up Gallo and Randolph, they woud still come out on top in any Melo scenario.

Budinger is so underated, there is a reason he was not in any of the trade rumors, the Rockets value him very highly and even Morey has said he has an unlimited ceiling..

Too bad some folks here don't get it.

DD, I really like Chase Budinger, as do most on this BBS. I actually think that (overall) Chase is rated pretty fairly here.

I also think it is an accurate statement that Danilo Gallinari is viewed by most GMs as a better prospect than Chase Budinger. Not much, much greater. But greater nonetheless.

Saying that Chase is not viewed as highly as Gallinari is no slight to him. I don't think you should view that is any sort of insult. Let's just hope that Chase turns into the better player over time. I don't think you'll find too many people here who would be upset by that development.

    I'm speechless.

That must be your new strategy - leave the folks here who don't get it speechless so they can't even type anything in reply to your nonsense!

SamAmicoNBA Nuggets' indecisiveness on Carmelo is reportedly causing Nets to get frustrated. Could back out soon. Are you listening, Knicks fans?

Danilo's first full season (only played 28 games as a rookie, 21 years old):

    15.1 ppg / 4.9 rpg / 81.8% FT% / 38.1% 3PT% / 42.3% FG%

Chase's first full season (3 month older than Danilo):

    8.9 ppg / 3.0 rpg / 77.0 FT% / 37.0 3PT% / 44.1% FG%

I'll take the first player, thanks. What don't I "get?"

Wasn't Gallo a starter though? I still take Gallo but I think he was a starter compared to Bud.

Danilo Gallinari and Chase Budinger produced at the same rate. Gallinari just played more minutes (because he was on a much worse team). I'd actually rate them about the same.

Playing more minutes does not mean production increases at the same ratio

i think if they would have switched teams bud and danlio would have about the same stats. meaning bud would have around 15 and danlio would have around 9. all things considered they are about the same level player in my eyes.

in any case ariza being gone chase has his chance to prove it.

Are you saying that the other NBA teams don't rate him very high and are not even asking about him in potential trades?

I'm sure Budinger's name has came up in a few trade discussions, just hadn't been leaked to the public. The Rockets & most NBA teams consider him a valuable asset, making it highly likely that there has been some interest.

There was a reason Budinger lasted until the middle of the 2nd round. I definitely think the Rockets got a steal with the 44th pick, but he does have his limitations. I hope I'm wrong, I only see him as a good role player & maybe a spot starter from time to time.

No, DD's implying that the Rockets are not willing to trade Bud...for anything...'cause he's the best!

Morey has actually publicly commented (early in the summer) that he had received interest in several of the Rockets' young players, most notably Brooks, Ariza and Budinger.

The difference between Chase and Gallinari isn't that big. I don't think Gallinari would be a starter on most playoff teams.

I never said it did. I said they produced at the same rate. It is conceivable to believe that Budinger would outpace Gallinari if given the same role and minutes.

;) ....and he has been on his bandwagon since Bud started playing for the Rockets. One of these days a DD favorite will actually become a star and DD will want to be a scout.
