gallo is a really good defender actually, just not a versatile one. his only problem on defense is that he is limited to guarding SF's. sg's are too quick and pf's too strong.
I know the 4 team trade for Melo to the Nets is dependent on his agreement to an extension. I also read on ESPN or Yahoo that Charlotte was reluctant to give up DJ Augustin to the Nets in return for Harris, and the Nets were looking for another team to facilitate that part of the deal. Now, if Melo agreed to the trade I would approach the Nets and Charlotte as that other team. I'd offer Brooks/Jeffries to the Nets, Harris/Budinger would go to Charlotte, and I'd ask for Wallace in return. Would you do that trade? PG - Lowry/Smith SG - Martin/Lee SF- Wallace/Battier PF- Scola/Hill C - Ming/Miller/Hayes Thoughts?
Wow...after watching highlights of Randolph, i definitely consider giving up #1 pick and MORE for him. Dude is sick! Will definitely be the most athletic player the Houston have ....yes even more athletic than Landry. So i heard the Knicks are trying to get Melo..what better way to dangle 1st round pick and perhaps expiring of Jeffries for Randolph. When they're desperate (almost like craving) for a superstar...they're going to do stupid things. IT's time for Morey to negotiate. I definitely think...that is what the Knicks want.....ASSETS...and we have them....Jeffries+1st rounder...let's go!!
How about Jared Jeffries+NY's 1st pick for Turiaf and Randolph? The Rockets need a 3rd C(Turiaf) for those back to back games, but they also want young talent(Randolph). Morey doesn't need to sign Dampier to be our 3rd C. The Rockets save $4 mil($2 mil luxury tax +2 mil Dampier's contract).
Preference on future deals by Melo's agent Leon Rose and William Wesley. You scratch my back and I'll scratch your's.
im not sure that denver is willing to trade melo for a bag of promises. i'm pretty sure they want young players and draft picks.
Do they really want to be blacklisted for future deals? I mean, they will get their picks and some decent players like maybe Budinger and Chandler. Remember, World Wide Wes and Leon Rose run the NBA. If they want something to happen, it will happen.
What would be the point? The Nuggets are asking for a 1st round draft pick and young talent for Carmelo. The Knicks would have no incentive to ask for the 1st pick, if the Carmelo deal can't be completed.
its not like those guys will be so happy with denver that they decide to send them another superstar to say thanks. if you think denver is going to give up melo for nothing in order to appease wes and rose, you're going to be pretty surprised when the trade is announced.
What teams have been blacklisted from deals? If a GM feels a trade with Denver makes their team better, they will do the deal.
