The Bobcats built their team through trade and free agency. They pretty much have forsaken the draft... The Charlotte Bobcats Draft History... Did you look at that roster? That's a more than competitive starting line-up and he's giving up peanuts to get it. This will probably be one of his first "good" moves but give the man a little credit.
Devin Harris is a nobody man... how exactly will they compete with the Bulls, Magic, and Heat still playing? It's a stars league and they don't have anybody. zip. zero. I'm looking at that roster and none of those guys would even start over our guys.. let alone 60% of the league.
To his credit though, Devin Harris is still an upgrade over Felton albeit a marginal upgrade. I'm sure Rick Adelman could find starting spots for Stephen Jackson or Gerald Wallace.
They are verrrrry fun to watch, and Devin harris is a huge upgrade to Raymond Felton. Jordan has built a very entertaining product, and these guys could have one of the toughest defensive teams in the league with Captain Jack, Crash and Tyrus running around in Larry Brown's system... I still think they should have held on to Emeka... Devin Harris Stephen Jackson Gerald Wallace Tyrus Thomas Emeka Okafor
decent team? yes do i think they are championship contender with that line up? no way besides g.wallace that front court looks very unimpressive and not a real threat in the post
Just my .02 cents but I'd take a Harris-Jackson-Wallace trio over a Brooks-Martin-Battier one any day of the week.
Not a contender, but definitely in the hunt for the 6th, 7th, or 8th seed. My predictions: 1)Miami 2)Orlando 3)Chicago 4)Boston 5)Bucks 6)Atlanta 7) Bobcats 8) Ethier the Pacers, Knicks, or Nets(assuming the Melo trade is approved)
Hmm they have a good lineup if they can pull off harris and he can plau at all star level like a couple years back plus Larry brown as a coach. They could be a sleeper contender in the east. Gerald wallace can definatley hold his own against lebron same with stephen against wade. Nazr is actually turning out to a really good player and will get better. they have a good competitve team. A very good defensive team that could compete every night and pull an upset.
Yeah but Yao would just take a big **** on Kwame Brown or any of those horrible bigs. Even in 24 minute intervals.
Did I ever say that I would take a Thomas and Mo combo over Yao or Scola? Look basically what I'm saying is I rather roll with a lineup consisting of Harris/Jackson/Wallace/Scola/Yao than Brooks/Martin/Battier/Scola/Yao.
I am so sick of people overrating the Bulls. They sucked last year and they only added Boozer, they are certainly better, but they are not in the top of the East.
They added some nice pieces like Brewer and Korver and replaced Del Negro with Thibbs. With that coaching staff and mix of players, don't be suprised if they are the best defensive team in the league.
