I think its fair.. Only problem I have with teams ahead of us are the Bucks, Jazz and Suns. I think we are on par with those teams with just a 50% Yao. Anyways with all the unknowns to Yao's health and how he much he will actually play I dont think anyone can reasonably argue that the Rockets are ahead of the Lakers, Heat, Celtics, Magic, Bulls, Thunder (they may be overrated), Spurs, Mavs
SO the jazz, the bucks, the suns, the blazers, the spurs, and the bulls are better than the Rocket, Get **** out here.
Thats fair given all the the unknowns. Once the season starts fully, we may go up or down depending on Yao and how Kmart, Cbud, and Hill improved
Nobody listens to the media predictions anymore. They are always wrong on the Rockets. Its not like they have ever been right or credible before so why start to listen now?
IMO, it's always best to be the under dog. When you are not the top it gives your team some incentive and something to push for. If your the favorite everyone is trying to knock you down. Talking heads will talk, they're generally wrong. For me I believe.
