There's probably a reason behind why he wasn't getting any minutes...

The only games I've seen of Randolph.. he seems to have a terrible attitude, whining about calls, and has me me me syndrome on the offensive end.

I don't doubt his talent level, but is he going to pan out? I highly doubt it.

If Melo is determined to go to NY, the picks are worthless. They are at least a playoff team.

If he isn't going to re-sign in Houston, there is no point in trading for him.

If Denver wants picks instead of players, then we should step in, offer the picks and get young talent from NY.

If we also unload Jeffries contract in the process, that's a plus.

Not sure what people aren't understanding here.

So what? You can not be afraid of paying for acheivers, he gets the contract he deserves, whatever that is.....

His contract is expiring this year. It will be an asset in any major trade we make.

You still believe that? Its becoming increasingly clear to me that Houston was used for leverage (again) to get the other teams to improve their offer.

I would only enter into the 3 way trade if it involves Chicago. Sending Anthony to the Knicks dilutes the value of our picks.

If I'm Morey, I'm looking for ways to sabotage a trade to New York with incentives in a Chi-Den trade.

Not true... I think Morey is willing to take that gamble for certain pieces though. I wouldn't have a problem if Houston took a one year rental. No one has a clear idea how long the lockout will take place. Yao's window is shrinking along with Houston. It's time we take a gamble for once within reason....

    No doubt about it.

Until Yao is proven healthy this is the way it will be....

We don't need him to contend. I'm thinking that Morey should target Randolph or Gallinari instead.

Good post. I think unfortunately for us, when the Bobcats cut Dampier, and his 10 mil non guaranteed contract, our best option went out the window. Charlotte desperately needs a PG, and shipping them Jeffries and Brooks would've made perfect sense for that non guaranteed contract. Then we could've packaged Dampier (10 mil non guaranteed), Hill, both the NY picks, and maybe Buddinger. It would've worked beautifully for everyone involved. Now it'll be much tougher for Morey :(

Personally, I would be almost as ecstatic if we somehow get Gallinari out of this whole thing as Melo. The guy from all indications seems like a perfect Morey/Adelman player. Can play both forward spots, and he has upside too.

The only problem is that he plays for NY and therefore automatically tends to be overrated. But if the price is right, he'd be a great get.

Otherwise, as long as Melo gets traded to anywhere other than NY, I'd be content. Even more so if he extends at the location he's traded to. This would automatically ensure 2 years of mid-to-high draft position.

I second that. I cant believe the homerism on here. But I guess thats to be expected on a Rockets fan web site. But I am a huge Rockets fan but when there is a superstar available you have to make an attempt to get him.

I've posted this before, if we could have traded Carl for Martin or Melo, ya'll would honestly choose Martin?
