What happens if you lived in Houston while the Oilers were here, moved away at the same time the Oilers moved and haven't come back to Houston since?

Would that be "self respecting" enough for you?

I am glad the city of houston is behind the texans this year, it has made selling the tickets a lot easier and extremely profitable. ;)

Actually no. What happened was that after the Bears burned the Cowboys with that long TD to their TE, Wade inexplicably called off the blitz packages. Chicago had lost their starting LT and couldn't protect Cutler in the 1st half so they went to a 3 step drop to negate the blitz. The Cowboys packed it in after that and that's one of hotter coals they are being grilled over right now.

Let's supposed for a moment that the Cowboys don't have to blitz because (a) Ware is kicking serious a** (b) Ratliff is running over Myers like he's a newly paved road and (c) Spears is killing whomever they put in front of him. What happens then? You saw what the Redskins did to the Texans' OL, didn't you? They were too big, fast and strong for the Texans' OL to handle. Schaub had 5 sacks and I don't know how many times he got hit. The Cowboys will be studying that film very carefully I guarantee you. I just don't believe that the Texans can win the line battle on offense against an embarassed and pissed off Cowboys defense ESPECIALLY when they face a must win game to save their season. A loss here to fall to 0-3 and the Cowboys face two weeks of hell on earth. Believe me, I'd love to see that but I am not encouraged after looking at the Texans' defensive numbers.

I don't feel that they will be able to run the ball effectively early as it depends on how much penetration is being generated by the Cowboys DL. Remember last year Game one when the Jets just blew through the Texans' OL? Believe me, it could get that ugly on Sunday. Screens may work as well as short passes to Daniels and Leach. If Dennison has Schaub taking 5-7 step drops, he's going to get killed back there. I also think that the naked bootleg Schaub runs is not going to work at all. To run the ball they will have to somehow negate Ratliff and create some running lanes and I am not convinced their depleted O-line is up to the task at hand. To have a shot at winning, the Texans have to come out and hit them hard and fast. They start out Sunday like they did at Washington and it could get real ugly really fast.

You avoid talking mess about the new team on a Houston based forum. I think that's fair. You've been a lot more civil this season but your past antics have resembled another poster named Hank Mcdowell (notorious Baylor hater).

My brother has barely lived in Houston since the age of 14. He went to boarding school overseas and college in LA. He's in med school in the Caribbeans and still manages to watch Rockets/Texans games while genuinely rooting for them. He has love for the city. I guess that's the difference.

thought this was interesting, dont know if anyone knows this but demarcus ware was pretty much ineffective with 3 tackles and no sacks against the bears backup tackle the other night.

Good one! ;) Of course, I meant the playoff level that most teams play when they make the playoffs.

Damn, this game has me really nervous after they showed how 0-3 teams make the playoffs about about a 3% clip on Inside the NFL. That means that were going to get everything Dallas has. I'm so thankful this game is at home as I don't think we'd stand a chance if this game was in Dallas. With that said, I can't pick the Texans to win this game. It pains me to say that, but I think were going to lose a heartbreaker to the Cowgirls.

    24-21 Cowboys

I'll be there on Sunday to hopefully root the Texans to a victory though. Can't wait until Sunday!

Can't stand that SOB Michael Irving, the drug addict. Listen to what he had to say today.

That hamburger/double down eating DJ should be fired. Michael Irvin must be referring to where the good crack is. 0-2 teams that **** talk mostly referring to a period that ended nearly 15 years ago are great motivation. Texans 24 Cowgirls 21

You forgot to mention that despite the 5 sacks and constant pressure that Schaub put up almost 500 yards passing. Also if anyone watched the game sunday you know that it was LaRon Landry causing fits for our Oline when he blitzed due to his speed and athleticism. I'm pretty sure the Cowboys don't have anyone like Landry in their secondary. Yes, you have Ware, but honestly, I would say Orakpo is only slightly behind Ware in the edge rushing department, and Schaub still managed to have a field day. I'm more worried about the Ratliff vs. Myers matchup as you mentioned, because if Schaub can't step up in the pocket that could be trouble.

I don't use my Twitter often but I had to send Rob a little message after this one:

""Why don't you just get the F out of Houston then, you fat B? You must have been doing lines with Irvin before you made this vid.""

I know, I know. I don't care...I feel this deserved internet assdom and I'm going full force. I've NEVER been more excited for an NFL game in my entire life. I've come close back in the Moon days...but Cris Dishman is NOT WALKING THROUGH THAT DOOR. lol We'll have to rely on Quinn and Jackson.

Yeah, I guess so. If you're saying that b/c you moved away, you washed your hands of any allegiance to the city of Houston...then that's your weak minded prerogative.

I mean, seriously...what does your moving away at the same time Bud Adams moved his COMPANY away have to do with anything AT ALL? Bud Adams owned a business that ONCE represented Houston. He chose to move said business to represent ANOTHER city...yet, weak-minded minions like you continue to support his BUSINESS for NO reason other than the fact that his BUSINESS used to call H-town home.

So what you are essentially saying is, "I don't care about Houston as a city. What I actually care about is whatever BRAND Bud Adams wants to throw at me from whatever city he chooses. What's that you say? No more Oilers? Oh, Titans is fine with me then...they're sill using blue right?!? As long as Al Del Greco is still they're former kicker, they'll ALWAYS be MY team."

Effing GAG ME. You "Houston" Titans fans make me SICK...WAY worse than a Cowgirl fan in Houston.
