Yes, there is a chance of that happening at an Ivy league too. The chance of that happening at UofP however is nearly 100%.

University of Phoenix is fine if you're seeking enrichment but if you're using it to get ahead, it's better to attend a brick and mortar.

I never saw the full list, but the two that affected candidates that I had were Texas State and University of Louisiana-Lafayette. Now we had hired some USL/ULL graduates, but they weren't right out of school and had some experience to back it up. I'm pretty sure the same would have been true of SWT/Texas State graduates.

To be fair, the candidates that I interviewed that were University of Phoenix graduates were all older, and had gotten their degrees while working full-time or in the military, so the degree was only part of their qualifications.

HCC offers more 4-year degrees than University of Phoenix?

The people I know who've used UofP effectively have either been in positions where they couldn't just take time off to go to school, or have used it to pick up courses which were eligible for credits in another program. U of P (and their ilk) do have a place.

    Lots of sheepskin snobbery here!

I'm not sure I'd trust a University of Phoenix grad making me a sandwhich.
