Maybe while LaLa was here, she was secretly checking the city out.

If I'm the Nuggets, I take the risk that the Nets pick is going to be equal if not worse to the Knicks pick, and heck I can make protection much lower off(remember Knicks pick is the RIGHTS to swap, and the other pick is top 5 protected but in 2012). New Jersey can offer 2011 with less protection. New Jersey's offer including Favors immeaditly makes theres more "appeasing". Is it better? I'm not sold on favors, but again if I'm the Nuggets I grab the best piece I possibly can to re-build around. Favors screams out to me more than Martin, as well as those salary implications and the fact that I get a pick sooner and arguably every bit as good.

With that said, I read that Melo isn't interested in going to NJ. If that's the case, we are the runaway favorites. New York can offer what-- Curry and AR? No picks. Heck, that makes our offer better since we have THEIR picks. This inter-conference trade may have to go out of the window.

Denver is hard pressed to make a move. If they can convince Carmelo NJ is the right place to go, then he'll go there. Otherwise, it makes sense that the next best option is Houston. Obviously, as a Rockets fan, I want to see Carmelo end up here in Houston.

I would love for Melo to come here but I don't want him to go to The Knicks.

If Denver deicides that That the Nets offers is best and Melo signs an extension there I will be all smiles.

    Chris Andersen $4,533,300
    Renaldo Balkman $1,675,000
    Anthony Carter $854,389
    Shelden Williams $854,389

    Ariza TPE = Andersen?

What happens with Dampier if he has already accepted the Rockets offer?

No deal, Afflalo and Lawson are the only untouchables on that team.

Both are extremely good and are still on their rookie contracts.

The only players I could see us net with our TPE or Anderson or Smith.

We become even more causious of Yao and limit him even more or we could use Miller and Anderson as backup 4's assuming Hill and or Patterson are included in a deal.

    A front court of

    Scola/Anderson/Hayes
    Yao/Miller/Dampier

could do some major damage against the smaller teams and could roll with the big teams like Lakers, Celtics, or Magic.

Smith's contract is too large for the Ariza TPE

It would be nice if you could read and understand basic English...

    Here is what i posted:

I did not say that a team WILL give anything...i said i'm willing to bet that a team would...that is an opinion, not a fact.

I know it's hard for the average female not to be selective when discussing anything, but please try and not take what you want out of the context of the statement. You fail impress my with your idea of what you think i'm saying, when if you could simply read in plain English, you'd see i never made a definitive statement about this whatsoever.

Really? Are you actually r****ded, or just pretending for sympathy?

How exactly did you get that from this:

So because i stated an opinion on Denver not getting the all time greatest deal...you read that as Denver won't get a great deal?

You should simply stop typing at this point...Everything is all black or all white with your posts...You're only going to see what you want out of the situation, and even considering using basic language skills to remain in the conversation. This will just prove my point:

Really, did you speak with 99.9% of the human population to come to this out right stupid and irrational conclusion? Or do you just go about spouting off random percentages, with you Morey lapel pinned to your sweater vest thinking a statistical statement makes it so?

No one said Denver was for a FACT going to get the best deal, or a good deal, or a bad deal...

    i said this:

Which means what? That Denver will take the best deal available(hence the word max), IF the GM is a smart GM...nothing more, nothing less...

Next time you decide to play, "i'll tell someone what they said" please, for the love of all things pure and holy...Know what you are talking about.

Whose to say that if we get Melo, we could also attract CP3.

He's going where his friends are and once he hits free agency, you bet that Houston will be his top choice if Melo is here.

This is a blog for Rockets fans and we can argue and post our opinions and comments here as part of being fans, to enjoy and vent. There should be no room here for personal attacks and insults.
Now, you, boy, should check if there is such a rating as bb IQ. I would really be interested to find out, or do you even know what IQ is. And who are you to tell me or anybody else to stop posting on this blog?
You need to develop more self esteem and get a better education before you attack someone you don't even know. As for your real IQ rating, I don't even want to know. Eeeewww.

Well of course other players would have to go. Martin's and Melo's salaries don't match

We all win if this happens..

    1. we'll probably get new jerseys. to represent a new era..
    2. more nationally televised games.. for sure...
    3. instant playoff contender with or without yao.
    4. if any drama happens morey can work wonders with 'melo

and DD will be FURIOUS haha ;)

seriously if melo comes here and we make a deep playoff run, all the melo haters on clutchfans should post: "I didn't believe in Melo, and more importantly i didn't believe in Morey :( "

Man someone who is finally thinking here. Now I would move Brooks if there was a way to get a third team involved so that Denver can move Chuncy.

Martin, Melo, Yao, and Scola would be really nice. I came up with a 3 team deal involving Portland that works.

Portland gets Chuncy, Balkman, and one of our 1st round picks we got from New York and our 2nd round pick.
    Chuncy, Bayless
    Roy, Matthews
    Batum, Babbit
    Aldrige, Balkman
    Camby, Przybilla

Denver gets Jefferies, Battier, Chase, Brooks, Hill, Harris, Oden, Cunningham, and our other pick we got from NY plus our 1st round pick.
All are expiring contracts plus young talent and multiple picks. This is a lot of trade bait also if another superstar come available.
    Brooks, Lawson
    Affalo, Smith,
    Chase, Battier, Al
    Kenyon, Al, Hill,
    Nene, Oden

Rockets get Carmelo, Rudy Fernandez, and Andre Miller.

    Andre Miller, Lowry
    Martin, Lee
    Melo, Rudy Fernandez
    Scola, Patterson
    Yao, Miller, Hayes

Before everyone gets upset lets be honest with each other, we have to give some in order to get back what we want or need. Had to throw in the picks to Portland just to convince them to move both Rudy and Oden, plus a line up of Chuncy, Roy, and Aldridge will be a problem for any team. Chicago is not offering Portland anything but a second round pick for Rudy. Send Rudy and Oden for Chuncy, Balkman, a 1st and a 2nd sounds better to me

Denver gets all they want and then some. Expiring deals, young talent and multiple picks. They are getting there future PG and a host of other young talent (trade pieces).

Rockets get Melo and are able to keep Martin. Andre Miller is not just an awful pg, plus by adding Rudy we keep the bench competitive.

I posted this in wrong thread sorry

Quoting myself because I feel like this has been completely looked over. When Carmelo is on he DEMANDS a double team. Pair that with Yao and who do you guard? That would leave AB open all day and the Ice Cream man to dish out many more free scoops. Not to mention Courtney Lee ( the whole wild card in this).

Does K-mart demand a double team when he is on? Is he a threat to score 40 points any given night? Whose to say K-mart can't be shut down by the Artests of the world by simply being bodied up.

Also Courtney Lee is coming off his second year as a pro and averaged decent numbers (13 ppg) on a terrible team. Yes, that might be why his numbers are inflated but he is also not getting very many open looks with that terrible team also.
