I didn't like MJ either, but we were in the minority. Most people liked him. He didn't get nearly the hate that Kobe does. In a way, I actually kind of respect Kobe more than MJ just because he's more honest about the fact that he's a douchebag. MJ always tried to hide it.
You are a Kobe fan apparently. Do you consider Ben to be on the level of Kobe Bryant? NO? Then shut up with the racism. People's views on Kobe Bryant are magnified because of his star status and the attention that was paid to him when he was going through the trial. We all heard all the details. Compare that to Ruben Patterson, another black athlete, that also plays basketball. He also sexually assaulted a woman (his babysitter) and there was no doubt about consent involved. Most people don't know about it, and hardly anyone cares or has an opinion on him. Why? The variables are the same except one: Star Status Kobe Bryant is one of the 4 or 5 most recognizable athletes in the country playing a sport where individual stars are hyped to sell tickets (vs team in football)
My point was that he wasn't automatically convicted in the court of public opinion simply because he was black. Many people were supporting him as the trial was going on. Maybe part of the reason he's still regarded as a rapist to this day is that he essentially admitted to it as part of his deal with the girl.
This is a tough one. I have more respect for Kobe. I hate LerBon though. He also has the ability to make his teammates hated as well.
Who cares? Honestly? You're hating on him for dancing? I understand the decision, but dancing in games warrants hate?

First off, how could he have admitted to something he wasnt convicted of? Obviously if he admitted to doing it he'd be behind bars. The fact is the girl (who happened to be white) lied and it came out in court. For some reason he's still called a rapist even though no rape occured, and the girl was looking for $$$. Not to turn this into a race thing, but whenever you a black athletes & white women the black athlete is always assumed guilty. The margin of error for white athletes is nowhere as slim...no offense, just truth
Dancing in games is unprofessional. If you get mad at Kobe taunting Battier than how can you tolerate sideline dancing DURING live play. It's called showing the other team up. Maybe if he'd take the game a little more seriously he'd have a ring right now
This isn't true at all. It never came out in court "that she lied." What occurred was Kobe's lawyers put on a full court press to embarrass her. Her name and personal information was leaked to the press in direct violation of rape shield protections. She eventually agreed to a settlement to end the nightmare. As part of her settlement she required Kobe Bryant to acknowledge guilt, which he did. Don't say you don't want to turn it into a race thing when that is exactly what you wanted to do. Nobody assumed Big Ben was innocent did they? Athletes (and celebs in general) rarely get the benefit of the doubt regardless of skin color because society loves to tear down big stars.
Flailing your arms and screaming at referees every time you think they missed a foul call is unprofessional. It's called showing the referees up. Kobe's more guilty of that than any other star player in the league.
Trying to influence the refs isn't unprofessional, it's gamesmanship, and something his coach, Phil Jackson has used for 2 decades to win at least 2 of his titles.
That's actually what it was about, that people would pick the white guy in a case of reverse discrimination
Your silly if you don't race is a factor. If the girl in Colorado happened to be black, we wouldn't even be talking about this. When you have black athletes & white women the media coverage increases 150%. ESPN didn't even cover Ben the 1st few weeks after the 2nd incident. The media bias is grossly one sided, and if you don't see that your obviously in denial
