Just got an email that I could auto-renew by October 11th for $179.95, a $10.00 "discount" from what the regular price will be.

Man! It gets more expensive every year. From $99 to $149 to $179, but I'm going to subscribe again.

No mention yet of any improvements over last year.

I think the $99 in the first year was just testing the market. I don't watch that many games, and the seven team League Pass Select package was good enough for me. I don't really watch games when the Rockets are not playing. It was I think $89 or something close last year, and $109 this year, and I will definitely subscribing it.

And you can always share an account with a friend.

League Pass Broadband by itself is $180? tell me that's a typo

I've always had a lot of problems with LPBB, but every year they rope me back in. Can't do without my Rockets fix.

I can't see a lot of people just buying the broadband if they charge this much for it.

You might be surprised. Some of us just can't get enough NBA action and refuse to be dictated to by TNT/ABC/ESPN. "Freedom" in this case costs $180.00.

Plus, I watch TV on my PC. LPBB is more valuable to me than regular League Pass.

peleincubus, yes. You can watch games already in progress from the beginning and can watch any completed game at any time during the regular season. For example, last season, I caught the 2nd half of Brandon Jennings' "double-nickel" against the Warriors the next night.

    A-3po,

But League Pass Broadband is FREE when you buy regular league pass.

Ah the seven team league pass.
Pissed they jacked up the price though.
Think I'll go with the Rox, Warriors, Knicks, Wizards, Bulls, Bucks, and Cavs (cuz that will be hilarious). No need to choose the Thunder/Heat/Lakers trifecta because they'll be all OVER television this season.

I know that but U-Verse is my ISP. I guess a better way to say it is I don't miss League Pass at all with LPBB.

If U-Verse would get NBATV, I'd be all good. It ticks me off that NBATV games aren't on LPBB.

It ticks me off that they have blackouts on LPBB. If I have broadband to watch my home team that means I don't have access to a TV.

But I am an addict and had LPBB and the iphone app which was crazy nice.

if they are charging that much they need to make it like the MLB.TV app on PS3.. that thing is awesome!!!!

Amazing... they spent the first few weeks having all types of problems, I missed a couple of games because it wasn't working, a few Rockets games never ended up as replayable and yet they want more money this year!

Considering that xbox live and pso have just about everything else now, i can't see why the consoles can't do that either

agree.. i really hope they expand it to consoles.. they already have the NBA app on the iphone. lets hope they expand it to the consoles and improve the interface liek the MLBTV app..
being able to choose home or away feed.. all in HD is cool.. ability to start from the beginning or watch live is what NBA BB was missing last year .. lets hope they really improve it. then i wouldnt mind paying a bit more

hopefully this will make microsoft finally add flv h.264 support to the xbox, as both mlb and nba use that format.

    If not, ps3 it is.

TERRIBLE pricing, not so much the price itself but the steep rate of increase. Almost twice as much just 2 years later. But its admittedly understandable since things are going online anyway. To providers, internet and digital does not mean cheaper it just means different way of accessing content.

    Improvements would be:
    - On archived games, REMOVE THE DAMN SCORE from the game's title! Why is MLB and NBA so clueless to this?
    - Not going to mention the flaw specifically, but if they could remove a particular flaw on their password setting then I'd broker the account to other people and CHARGE

The MLB has that option, at least on their psn client, lol
