I would think there has to be some kind or criteria for this e.g atleast played for club for 2-3
Years with some kind of rotational role, or else scrubs signed for 10 days or 1 year contracts that were bemchwarmers seems kind of abundant

With that said and considering I've.only followed rockets for 8 years my rockets 5 would go

    Alston, head, bowen, Taylor, cato

Head was solid his first 2 years, he just got caught in the numbers game, injury bug and Von Wafer outplayed him and Brent Barry the last year he was here before he was waved.

He upset a lot of people here because of his Playoff performances and I really don't blame yall but he was a solid off the bench guy for the first 3 seasons of his career.

I would probably put Moochie in before Maloney only because Maloney did help us win a lot more than Moochie ever did. Both got horrible contracts but I can't put Maloney over Moochie.

I would also have to put Kelvin Cato or Stromile Swift in there somewhere.

Relative to their contracts and expectations, it's very debatable.

They might be better in terms of actual ability, but they just sucked it up while actually having a chance to play. Cook and Armstrong didn't really get a chance. The money and time spent on Cato and Swift make them a lot worse in my opinion.

This thread has reminded me how Rockets (specifically JVG with his stubborn loyalty to obedient but low-skill players) wasted the 2 years that TMac and Yao was playing at a high level together.

2005-2006 Ryan Bowen was by far the worst player I've ever watched, who got regular minutes. Just look at that stat line:

    1.3 ppg
    1.3 rpg
    0.4 apg
    0.298 FG%, 0.338 TS% - last in the league by a wide margin, AFAIK
4.0 PER - again last in the league that year, one of the all-time worst
9.6 mpg, 68 games played - he was'nt some D-Leaguer who didn't get to play

Somehow started 19 games for the Rockets that season!!!

These sort of lists are dumb. Chances we wouldn't have even heard of the actual five worst players in a franchise's history, because they would never have gotten off the bench.
