Anyone know off hand where Utah is with regard to the cap? edit: Utah's salary is at $69,994,996. The LT for 2010-2011 is $70,307,000. We can squeeze Utah by making this offer for Fesenko!
Delta 3590 taking off in a few mins I'm on the runway hiding my cell from the attendants im in the emergency row so it's obvious. I'll be in Houston 2 hours.
Vanilla, Vanilla and French Vanilla. $75 mil payroll, over tax threshhold, according to ESPN Trade Machine. Was Milos Teodosic with him? Also, what are you doing in SLC, Shane?
http://hoopshype.com/salaries/utah.htm From here? On 2nd look, it's probably more like $73 mil. A few of their near minimum guys are probably not guaranteed. But Hoopshype's numbers didn't include $3 mil for Raja Bell. Either way, it would seem tax should be a question for Utah to think about.
Can we trade one of our spare parts to the Jazz for the big dude? Fesenko would fit this team to a T, a rebounding, shot-blocking center, who happens to be young. No way the Jazz does not match any offers for him, so a trade may be feasible?
I read somewhere that the Jazz had a 1 million dollar offer on the table for Fesenko, I don't think the Rox would offer much more but maybe a longer term deal might scare off the Jazz.
The Utes are right up against the lux tax...would they bite, if a team signed him, then try to dump a contract (like last year)?
I don't care which guy the rockets get out of Dampier, Fesenko or even Mbenga. They are all 7 foot and can rebound/block shots! Just get one of them at least we need paint power!
Okur's missing the first 20-30 games of the season. They might need to sign Fesenko regardless of LT.
Yeah, as much as I hate to admit going there for a quick "answer." It sounds like Utah might match simply because of injuries, but they have done questionable things before due to the LT, so maybe they will again. It certainly sounds like Morey could have made him an offer, at least to me.
