There may have been a time when liberal to moderate Republicans were needed, but what good would they do now? Every single Republican in congress is going to have the same stance on every single issue as long as Obama is President: vote no on anything Obama approves of.

I'm not going to respond to all of these, but some are interesting and some are hilarious so I want to respond to a few... This is a position that has always baffled me. I will never understand it and I can't believe anyone who is serious about political activism would have the lack of foresight necessary to put such a belief in words. This one sounds like it's been pulled out of context as her other quotes acknowledge she believes in sex in marriage. I don't believe this quote gives us any insight into the conversation being had and what was meant. Not familiar with the issue (was this a law being discussed?) but her overall issue that "freak dancing" (lol) is an overt sexually explicit act is dead on accurate and it absolutely leads to other things. Date rape is a ridiculous leap. I'm sure it has led to a few cases of date rape, but not enough that it would be considered a side effect. What a strange position. I'd like to read more about this to figure out what she means. On it's face it sounds ridiculous. I don't get why this one was quoted other than to laugh at a Christian woman. Who wouldn't want a husband and a dad to be so loving that kids see an example of Christ in their father? I mean heck, even if you aren't a Christian wouldn't you take it as a complement if your kids were like "in my dad I see an example of someone who loves his family unconditionally and would sacrifice everything for them..." To be clear here, she actually isn't saying gays are attacking the center of what is America, rather that some group involved in a lawsuit (I guess?) is fighting the center of America by (apparently) advocating for some sort of censorship. I didn't know about this rumor, but I definitely don't want a former president hosting a talk show unless it is completely apolitical. All in all she comes across as naive, overly ideological and incredibly sheltered. I will say though that a lot of those quotes don't belong. There are several that are bad, but many of them are without any context to form any sort of opinion and many are totally irrelevant but follow other crazy comments so it looks like they are more of the same. She definitely has views I couldn't subscribe to, but some of the views she is being attacked for appear to be a matter of she's a Christian who believes in high morality and apparently a lot of people don't like that. Couldn't vote for personally.

I didn't know you were such a big Obama fan. By saying "you get what you pay for" and admitting that for Obama "we're paying double and triple," you are implying that we're paying a lot because we're getting a lot from Obama.
