there's gonna be an HBO documentary on Bush during the campaign trail... i think itll show off some of Bush's charisma..but as him being over his head...yeah, anyone put in his position would be in over his head, first year of presidency he's got a busted internet bubble, shady accounting practices, terrorist attacks, and the break up of Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears... whats this world come to??
CLINTON SAID WE SHOULD GO SOLAR!!! He went on and on about the benefits of solar power and how it will save the planet. He said he gave a speech in Saudi Arabia recently about how they should invest in solar energy and start at the equator moving North and South. He said oil companies are impeding the switch to clean energy. He said the government should invest in sustainable energy research much like they do petrochemical research and biomedical research- on that level. On and on and on about how it will save the planet. Where was all this talk during the 8 years he was in office??? Pretty lame he starts this rant when he's out of office and Bush steps in. Better late than never, though.
Even if you don't like Clinton, The War Room was a tremendous documentary on the Clintion campaign. It was hilarious.
Clinton is America in a way I don't think anyone else will be in our lifetime. He is Saturday Night Bill, Sunday Morning William. He is a Supersize Meal with a Diet Coke. He is a Ford Expedition with a Nature Conservancy sticker. He had enormous potential that he ruined with toxic levels of charisma. Brilliant political tactician, brilliant policy wonk, balls of titanium (How many could give a State of the Union Address after the Lewinsky story broke and do it as well as he did?), brilliant speaker (How many could give a damn good speech when the wrong one was on the teleprompter?), and brilliantly bad personal choices exacerbated by a tendency to self-destruct. I still like the hell out of the guy and do beleive he would have won a third term easily, but he did blow his potential big time (though he was helped greatly by all the folks out to get him).
