I'd say we found the new Rockets slogan for this year...

He says something before that. "Get the f away from here" or something.

Pollard is awesome. Our ballhawk FS may already be on the roster though, Troy Nolan looked great in preseason. That being said a nasty Nick Mangold type C or a Ed Reed type FS is on my wish list for first round next year.

if Jackson works out the way we hope he does, then we`re solid 2 out of the 4 DB spots. hopefully we can find another CB and a cover S to compliment these 2.

    Whats wrong with Quin?

Quin has just as much ability as Jackson.

Kubiak's very high on Quin. And it sorta looked like Wilson was directing Pollard where to go presnap. First one to go is probably Wilson, unless Quin pulls a Fred Bennett.

    I like that attitude.

It's going to be fun watching these guys all year long...

I saw him doing it live and got pretty amped. I do love the D we are putting together. They really are becoming a complete team. Plus they're young.

Let's hope they do some big things.

There was a time when Wilson was considered the strongest of the secondary. Now he may be the least talented of the bunch. That's progress. I think our young corners will continue to play better than most expected. Pollard is borderline pro-bowl capable. I just want Pollard to keep doing what Pollard does. . .

Not trying to be a Debbie Downer here, because i too love the swag that BP has brought to the defense, but... I can't help but worry that fans will eventually turn on him..

If I'm not mistaken, I think I read that it was his in-your-face attitude and mouth that grew old and became a problem in the KC locker room?

I mean honestly, can't anyone else see it happening? Didn't wel all LOVE Ron Artest for the same reasons when he first joined the Rockets? We all know how that turned out...

Remember, Dallas fans all used to love hard hitting pro-bowl safety Roy Williams when he was laying wood on players, until his coverage skills just repeatedly got exposed and abused.

Again let me repeat, I am not trying to rain on the Pollard parade, because I too appreciate how he's changed the defensive attitude. I'm just hoping that the good vibes last beyond any regression of on-the-field play he might endure.

    GO TEXANS!

I see where you are coming from but it's all dependant on his play. If he continues to well people will look to his energy as a positive. If he starts to suck they will call him a knucklehead.

I think the KC situation was completely different. That was a team with little identity, horrible, and not many true established leaders.

In houston, Ryans was the undisputed defensive captain.

Pollard is not the greatest saftey. He is among the greatest safeties for the Texans. I hope he doesn't become a knucklehead here as I think he is good enough for the Texans to win some games.

Yeah, I think the difference between Pollard here and in KC was his play on the field. Fans love the loud mouth, in-your-face players when they are producing. But definitely can turn on a guy when he is not playing well. However they were set up, defensively, in KC was apparently not all all suited to Pollard's strengths because he has been like night and day here.

Someone mentioned Fred Bennett earlier when talking about Glover Quinn. I must say, Bennett has completely ruined my ability to get excited about young cornerbacks for this team because of his career path. The looked electric in his rookie season, and turned to absolute crap after that. I don't know how that is possible. Maybe he was just really lucky his rookie year. But at any rate, I'd love to get excited about Glover Quinn, Bryce McCain or even Kareem Jackson based on what I have seen, but in the back of my head I keep worrying that they might just turn out to be another Fred Bennett.

If Andre Johnson starts dropping 50% of the balls thrown his way, fans will turn on him too.

Fans turn on players that dont produce.

As long as Pollard plays well in the secondary, then its all good...fans wont turn on him because of his attitude and in your face style of football.

I think Wayne was saying something along the lines that he was already out of bounds and didn't appreciate Pollard pushing him.

Pollard basically said in the radio spot that he doesn't like guys that run out of bounds or duck instead of taking contract and then continue talking trash.

Yea, I heard either him or Reggie say "Get that **** out of here" before Pollard went on his tirade.
