I just want to make sure BBS posters are aware of this. I pre-ordered Halo Reach from Amazon.com (received this morning) and got a $20 credit for my next purchase. So that got me looking at other games I want. NBA 2k11: Pre-ordered and got free release day shipping PLUS a $10 credit towards my next purchase Fable III: (I didn't do this one yet as I am waiting for my $10 credit to post) Free release day shipping PLUS a $20 credit towards next purchase I applied my $20 credit to NBA 2k11 and after that ships I will preorder Fable III and apply that $10 credit. Just wanted to make sure my fellow BBS brethren were aware of Amazon's deals on pre-orders right now. The free release day shipping (might have to be an Amazon Prime member which is also free if you are a student) makes it well worth it.
Good stuff. I used it quite a bit last year. Though it was more of a bonus. Already planned on getting games from them (they're usually the cheapest anyway). I think they're also offering credit for Castlevania, Fallout New Vegas, GT5, Enslaved, Assassin's Creed, and probably more. I just got some from Kingdom Hearts: BBS I believe. I don't know about free release day shipping. Might be Prime only. But I did see them offer $0.99 release day shipping for some games. Went ahead and got that for LBP 2. Stuff like this is why I buy pretty much all my games from Amazon (excluding digital releases...though I generally get PSN games from there too). edit: Actually, I pretty much buy almost all my stuff from Amazon. Not just games. But especially games.
Yea, Amazon has been doing this for a while. I'm on an endless loop with them in buying games. Keep getting one, and then have credit for the next one. Pretty genius on their part as all my gaming purchases are exclusively from them because of these deals now. I also believe release day shipping is available to everyone, and not just Prime members. They don't have the option on all games though. Mostly the high profile ones.
